I want to extend my o2 sensor wires a couple feet for my wire setup to be cleaner. Would this affect anything at all? Its a 3 wire setup and its on an s13 blacktop sr. I dont think it would affect much as long as its all hooked up right. Just want some reassurance.:wiggle:

Its sheilded wiring, so unless you know how to perfectly splice sheilded wiring, leave it be.

Once you cut open and strip the shielding you will know what I mean. I needs to have a good ground or because its a sensative signal. By snipping the shielding your clipping the ground.

It depends where you splice it.

When I extend shielded wiring, I use more OEM shielded wire and cut it at the end of the shielding, where it terminates. If you had to extend it with standard non-shielded wire, I'd depin the connector and extend the wire between the terminated shielding and the pin - there shouldn't be any real interference coming from the o2 sensor power and grounds.

hmm that makes sense.
