Okay so I have a built rb25 with a stock turbo(I know it's getting changed)
but I seem to have a problem one day I was boosting at 14psi and it just cut then the car couldn't boost at all and vacuume was reading 10instead of 20 also ther was no smoke or anything but it was running shitty at idle. So I took off the turbo and checked it everything seemed ok no shaft play at all turbine wheels still in one piece I did a pressurized test on my whole system no leaks anywhere all sealed including intercooler and manifold!!
Can my turbo still be blown even tho there is no smoke or shaft play and why was my vac at 10 not 20, also checked the wastegate seems to be working fine thanks

the wastegate is done for. that might be the problem i have the same problem my wastegate went out and wasnt holding boost anymore. it may look fine but for sure its done.

So you checked the Exhaust wheel?
it Ceremic so it will shatter if boosted hard
I know you said you boosted it to 14psi but god knows what the prev owner boosted it at

^^for sure check the exhaust wheel as i'm assuming you just looked at the compressor. don't boost over ~12psi with that turbo....
otherwise check the wastegate actuator.

hey jun boi !!
looks like it might be the wastegate son

I dont see why a bad waste gate actuator would cause a drop in Vacuum and shitty idle

Okay well I used a compressor to open and close the wastegate so I don't know if that's proper or not but it did open and close, also would it affect vac that's the question. And yes I took apart the turbo and checked the exhaust wheel it was mint and I've been running 14 for a while now like a month steady

I'll replace the wastegate, because that was my first guess also thanks s13silvia123

if your waste gate was bad then you would over boost.
If anything i would check to see if the Actuator arm is still attached to the flapper Valve

were you untuned at 14psi?
Maybe you burned an intake valve
check compression

Tuned by a pro, and the valve and linkage is all good I was moving it and I tested the whole system there is no vac leak
Double check, Your low vacuum reading and inability to boost are signs of a leak..

I did the whole system like 3 times from the turbo all the way to the intake all of it holds pressure I was shooting 100 psi through it so I would definately hear the air wiz out but nothing
