I live in cali were the emission standards suck and recently traded a car for a 95 240sx ka24de with the 248/248 cam swap. My question is will this car with all of the stock emissions equipment and a healthy engine with good compression(i know this really doesnt effect emissions too much unless burning oil) pass smog? I know this is question is kind-of vague but i really must know before I take it to a smog station and being put into the system as a failed emissions car.:confused::confused:
It shouldn't really make a difference assuming the car is running properly and the cat is in good shape. 248 isn't very much duration.

That's exactly what I said in another thread :) Probably wouldn't be a problem, but any increase in HC or NOx will definitely show up on an old/busted cat.

Finally smogged my car and yes it passed. Infact the car did so well the smog tech thought i had just installed a new cat. Results will be posted soon.
