It means that even though RB25 turbos are considered T28s or something like that they have a flange that is a T3, therefore a T3 flanged manifold will fit it. AKA T3 Footprint.

Is the turbo elbow custom for a s14 chasis?

the elbow was used in an s14 chasis, but its not custom. To make it work for I created a 3/8" spacer from a stainless steel elbow I removed the flange from. With the extra 3/8" that space gave me, plus a slight bit of grinding on the elbow and the steering shafts connection joint, it fit into my car using the r33 xmember. If u have mckinney mounts, the engine should be about 1/2" farther back, so it would have even more clearance.


So the eblow is stock, but its has been modified to fit s14 using r33 xmember. The r33 xmember is the most troublesome to make fit.
