Id like to get 4500obo. Im already losing money at that price, but cash talks. If you guys know anyone interested, link them this thread and have them get in touch with me.

Ive tried to get excited about building the FC but the love just isnt there. I miss the sound of my RB and cant make myself do a piston swap on the car so I am putting it up for sale to fund a swap on my S13.

Overall the car runs fine. All of the emissions and idle control stuff has been removed, so if you live in an area with smog this car WILL NOT pass a sniffer as it sits. Also, due to removing the idle control stuff you have to hold the idle up manually for the first 30 secs or so on a cold start to let the idle settle out. The car has made several trips to Oklahoma City from Dallas with no issues at all.

The air gets cold, however, I believe a better fan setup is needed to really be able to use it. I replaced the perfectly functioning FC alternator with a 100 amp alt from an FD and it holds 14.2v at idle and cruising. With the vent fan, electric fan, and headlights on, the voltage holds at 13.8 or so which is much better than the 11.8 it had with the FC alternator.

If shifting quickly into 5th gear there is a very slight grind, but allowing the shifter to slip itself in provides no noise or roughness at all.

Im sure this isnt the best worded ad, but I want to get everything in the open because I hate selling something only to have the buyer regret the purchase.

This car is a genuine 10th Anniversary Edition and I have kept all the bumpers, trims, taillights etc as I replaced them with the S5 pieces so it can be easily returned to stock if desired. I believe I can even contact the previous owner to get the original 10AE wheels and a spare transmission if the buyer wishes.

Mods:
motors has a Mazda reman plate and is believed to have been swapped in 98. I dont know how many miles are on the current motor, but I get about 20mpg on the highway so I feel its in pretty good shape. The oil pressure does fit into the description on Mazdatrix regarding the improper oil pressure regulator o-ring. This means the oil pressure at idle is about 8-10psi and about 53psi cruising on the highway.

Fluidyne radiator with 15" electric fan ( could def benefit from some shrouding)

For 5k, I will throw in the REW motorset from my friend's FD. Has auto trans but the FC 5 speed bolts right up. Needs coolant seals, but ran when it was pulled.

When I get back in town, I can drive it up to OKC for SERIOUS buyers, please dont waste my time or my fuel though. Anyone wanting to check it out casually will have to catch it when Im up there for some other reason.

Im also entertaining trades for 240s or SR stuff. Any cars must be stock 5sp, no conversions please. Id prefer an S14 and Im not real picky on paint quality, as long as there are no major dents or any rust at all. If you have something you are willing to trade or apply towards the price let me know. The worst I can say is no.
