put car on incline, squeeze upper hose, and use the bleeder on the engine side of the top radiator hose.

It's actually written out quite well in the Service Manual, google it.

Put the heater on high, elevate the front of the car, 'burp' the hoses to get the air moving (squeeze them and release), and as soon as you see water with no bubbles coming out of the bleeder valve on the upper neck, cap it.

Both hoses should be hot at this point, that's basically when you know it's ok to drive.

Could just be air, but yeah a thermostat's like $8 at any auto parts store. Might as well replace it if you're having to bleed it all already.

ok i have a question ...i looped the heater hoses on a sr due to the fact the heater core ends where broken ......well when i run the car for a while it makes this gargling noise from there the heater hoses where looped ..soo i went and got a new thermostat thinking that would do it but no dice . i took off the bleeder bolt and still its the same thing ...i cant figure it out its really frustrating me
anyone have a ny idea what else i should try
