These aren't replicas....replicas aren't illegal because you can't copyright a wheel design.


These were copies being sold/advertised as REAL Schnitzers....which obviously is a copyright infringement. Thus, they were seized and someone decided to hand them to Schnitzer and allow them to make a PR statement. I'm sure the German government cooperated because it was a German firm that had been infringed upon by an Asian (presumably Chinese) firm.
