I was bored today and my friend has one of those digi cams that can take 15 second videos, so I thought I would give it a shot. I know its nothing special, but it's all I got. Tell me what you think!

and then here's a pic for those who don't bother to download the video.

Uhhh...those would be painted/powdercoated stock 7-spoke alloys...unless I hit the crack pipe a little too hard this morning.

dood, that's a prime example how NOT to do donuts
notice the heavy understeer (about 3/4 of the arc) before the snap oversteer (end)?
haha...good stuff. you just made my day and woke me up.

dude I gotta get a firewire I need to upload the video from Sun. there was a HUGE puddle a good 25 feet across couple inces deep. one of the guys went sliding into it. not bad got it sideways going in but instead of keeping sideways to drift he just looded it did a donut and took off. awsome effect in the deep water.. he comes back and his passenger hops out and was like man I'm drenched! the idiots had the windows down....

Yeah, they are just the stock wheels painted black, I used high temp flat black spray paint, it holds up pretty good. Also, I wasnt trying to do donuts, my friend just pointed the camera and said, "go, you got 15 seconds" heh, so I just took off and whipped the rear end out real quick for lack of better things to do. I'm not trying to sound cocky, any driving tips, etc. would be greatly appreciated, I'm always willing to learn. I just started attending the local autox events a few months ago and it's been a great experience so far, I've learned alot about how my car handles in extreme conditions.

Thats what I thought but I couldn't tell if they were the 7-spoke or just steelies....now I kinda feel stupid :D I think I have my monitor's brightness level too low and I had just woken up when I read this. Whatever

not for cops.
good for those who go to DD5 and dont want to be a understeering all day on the skidpad
donuts.
BIG lot (for safety)
start in 1st. go wide circles, as your speed picks up go to 2nd gear
keep the same circle size going and increase car's speed
the rear will want to slide out
let it.
as it slides counter the steering wheel (turn INTO the slide-ex: if your going left hand turn, your car will want to slide out to right side, when it does, turn your steering wheel to right side)
dont turn TOO much to right or you'll snap over.
so as it breaks loose, countersteer
breaks, counter
breaks.......(let it slide further out) counter
over and over
until eventuallly you'll be able to counter juuust enough to keep the end out and at the same time, not snap over
big IMPORTANT THING: throttle control! that's the KEY
time and practice.
lsd helps too. of course.
hope that helps and makes sense.
the principle of being able to control how much counter is needed to prevent snap oversteer and at the same time sliding is learned on the skidpad easily. learn the basics. step by step

Thanks for the help and the positive comments guys! Someone from my area actually called my cell phone and left a message to talk **** about my "mexican" looking car...some people these days. Oh well, I like my car, and I modify it to fit my tastes, so I don't care.
*disclaimer* I in no way intend to offend anyone by the above statement, I love people of the mexican culture.
