So pics really don't do the headliner justice, kinda look purple but you guys get the idea. So I bought the Black Suede fabric at Handcock Fabric store for like $15 got 3 yards. They were having a 40% discount so had to pick it up. Went around to a local upholstery shop and they only charged me $90 to wrap the headliner and all 4 pillars. Already head them out of the car... Good deal I must say...
Now time to get my roll cage painted this weekend and throw it in the car,,caint wait.
Oh I also filled in the holes to the seat belt brackets, since I will be using harnesses. no need for regular set belts
pics.....

As in glue the suede directly to the metal panels? or covering all the interior you pulled?

Cracked out dash is a whole nother story. Shops can do it, but it will cost some serious $$$
Headliner and pillars are very easy, even to do them yourself.
Word of caution: some suede/faux suede material will fade in direct sunlight. Causes the material to turn the purplish color like the pics.
And i dont know what it is, but black suede does not photograph well. Always looks purple in pics.

OK... Handcock only sells Micro-Fiber/ Faux Suede... UV will break down the material... its for inside use only! This is the same shit on your couch!
Real Suede is nice but very hard to keep.
Alcantara is what you should have got... its not cheep, and Yes its a Man made Faux Suede, but it doesn't break down and is very very easy to keep!! Its also very hard to find!
Other then that... great job!!

Yea I wanted the Alcantara fabric, but like you said hard to find so I said Fuck it and but this stuff.. If it fads I will replace it, don't really have my car in direct light, but we will see.
Oh about the cracked Dash just fiberglass it and sand it down, that is what I did with the holes on the pillar where the seatbelt brackets went..

The headliner is quite easy if you are patient. A heat gun or hair dryer will help on the curves to get the fabric to strech correctly.

Directly to metal, haha.
Does it come off easily if I ever wanted to replace a section of it, or is it tedious work to remove it?
I assume that would depend on what is used to glue/apply it.

That would also assume you were applying it in sections, instead of a larger wrap.
Personally, i would try and cover as much as possible with a single roll.
And its generaly applied with 3M adhesive (or equiv) and so you would be able to pull it off, but it would leave a hard-glue residue behind. Which would be ok to cover back up with new suede, but a bitch to sand if you were to repaint.

Yea it was a light grey, I fuckn hated it.. The paint does wonders, probably would look good if you painted the whole headliner with the can.
