Im trying to figure out how to route my wiring harness, I want it to be clean and look stock. I know its supposed to be routed differently since its supposed to be in a RHD car but i know people have routed them clean. Please enlighten me with pictures or a thread already discussing this which i have not found haha. I know theres some info out there somewhere!

What lol, are we talking about the same thing? I wasnt aware that you could run the engine harness through the fender. What do you mean by hire a professional? I just want to know the cleanest most stock looking routing position for my S13 SR into my s13 haha. I want it to look like it came from the factory with it besides the fact that its lhd :P:wiggle:

What?!?! How else do you expect to route the harness? You use the same fucking hole to get it from the cabin into the engine bay. You cant really route it "clean" unless you're trying to wire tuck the harness. I swear you seem to ask some weird ass questions that makes shit alot harder than it really has to be.

wtf are you talking about. who runs an engine wiring harness through the side of a fender?
op, since you already mentioned you know that the harness runs from the other side of the firewall, there will be extra harness since it's too long to make the infamous "loop" when people swap over an sr20 to a usdm chasis.
most people just let the wire loop around the top near the firewall (i wrap it up in electrical tape until i have time to shorten wires to make it look cleaner.) the best way would be cutting and resoldering/pinning to shorten the harness if you want it to look clean and stock.
if you want it to look really clean, you could de-pin the wires you don't need (ac, misc solenoids/sensors that you don't use, and maf wire if you are running a map), shorten the wires that are too long, and keep wires hidden by tuck them neatly.

Do you have any pics of your engine bay? Or how the harness is routed?
