my friend bought a 91 talon tsi with a 16g on it and a blown tranny for $800...and that ish had wheels, a boost controller, 3" exhaust, yada yada yada.

i would offer that guy not a penny more than $1500 for that piece.

Actually with the Talons, you can't tell by the trim... TSi means it has the turbocharged engine, but could be FWD (hellooooo torque steer) or AWD. Usually you'll see "TSi AWD" but it's not always specified..

the Mitsus don't have this problem of course, since the turbo is either a GS-T or GSX..

guess Eagle is just a halfass brand

I wouldn't get it, I'm selling my 94 gs-t 102,000 miles and yes it's pretty fun but from my experience the 1st gen engines are not that reliable. The car yard I go to stopped selling thoes engines because of that. My car is on it's 5th engine in a little over a year, the first one was my fault (low oil). The rest didn't last more than a month. If you do get it make sure you have a good chunk of $$ left over just in case. About the scrached spoiler I replaced mine for $35 at the car junkyard, you might need to paint it. Good luck!;)

I had a 92 Talon tsi awd after i wrecked my first s13, and well now im back to the s13's. Biggest lemon I ever owned. Soon as I fixed one thing another thing broke (seriously) and finally the engine blew on me. DSM's are fast... if you can afford lots of down time.

my friend has a 95. it ran good when he got it. threw exhaust, boc, and intake and ran great. then one thing after another started to break. he had to get a new tranny case or something and he replaced the slave cylinder at least a dozen times. but that was only because the place that installed his clutched left some bolts out so it would flew tooo much. runs ok now, but when he goes WOT the thing acts like it hits fuel cut a 4k rpm!!

but a 90 IS a 1g. ive seen those run like ~14 1/4mile stock. depending on condition. also watch for crank walk. has a rep of eating up the crank bearing.
