Hey guys,
When I start my car, it runs really lean and shitty. Like it will barely hold idle. This is only until I rev the motor. At this point, all the lights on the dash go brighter and the car starts idling fine. Also, when the car first starts, the battery voltage is steady at 11.8. After I rev the car and the dash lights are bright, the voltage is a steady 13.8. Anyone know what is wrong?

Got the battery tested and it's fine. Also the belts are fine.
We did a little bit more testing. When I first start the car and it's running shitty, the voltage is dropping slowly from 11.8 until the car shuts off and the timing is jumping around like crazy. This even happens when another car is boosting mine untless the other car is revved. If the other car boosting is revved, then the voltage on my car jumps up to the high 12s and then slowly continues to drop.
The timing and voltage is fine when the engine on my car is revved once. We even tried grounding the battery and engine block with more wires. This didn't do anything.
Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

Recheck your power cable running from the battery to the alternator making sure the cable is making proper contact & not shorted out. Also since you didn't mention anything about your alternator, pull your alternator take it to a autopars store with an alternator tester & have it checked to make sure that it is functioning properly. Recheck your ground wires also to make sure that you don't have any loose connections. I believe there is an 80 amp fuse that connects to your alternator underneath the hood...it's in the fuse block where all the other fuses are located by the battery. Make sure those wires are tight also.
If you get 13.8 volts after you rev the motor, that means something is loose & not making proper contact. Usually it's a loose wiring problem...
Hope this helps...
