I bought these tension rods from a zilvia member brand new and told me he bought them from enjuku brand new. He assured me that these are s14 tension rods.
I tried to install the tension rods today and they may look like s13 tension rods. Take a look at the picture. Is this normal for me to have to turn it all the way out to be the same length as the stock rods?

you've got like another two inches of adjustment on the rod end itself too ya know......
you've got two points, the adjusting sleeve, and the rod end you can adjust.
i'd backoff the adjusting sleeve a little, and then adjust the rod end out some.

Yea I understand that but I just want to know if these really are s14 tension rods. You shouldn't have to adjust it at the rod end. You should be able to get all the adjustment you need out of the body.
I wish manufacturers would label these things.

TRUST ME, don't use S13 Battle Version rods on a S14.
I've done it.
I also had them come apart while on the highway.
NOT FUN.

I don't think you can tell the difference just by looking at the 13 and the 14 one (unless you had them side by side. the 14 one should be longer.)
I don't remember how much I threaded it.

I'm not debating on whether to use s13 tension rods on the s14. Im wondering if these really are s14 tension rods or not. I'm not cheap and janky like that. I try to do things right the first time around.

ok I adjusted it with halfway adjustment on the rod and then halfway on the body and this is where it ends up.

I adjusted it on both ends to get it to the same length as the stock tension rod. This just doesn't seem right to me.

By the look of things, I'd say those are S13 ones.

I have s13 BV arms sitting in my garage somewhere, I can take some measurements later for you if you don't figure it out by then.

yea that would be a lot of help. Mainly get measurement of the aluminum body part of the rod. I think thats what is different on s13 and s14.

according to SPL instruction that came with there T/C rods..DON'T expose more that 1/2 inch of the thread's on each side,
IIRC that is...check SPL website.and i KNOW that these are BV arms...but T/c are 99% the same
quality i don't know..but SPL > BV
yup, those are for an s13.
gl on the resale! hopefully you can get what you paid for them!

Hahahaha this is why when that fucking guy had the thread selling the Peak Performance Tension rods I was telling him they're different for both cars, but because on PEAK's site it says they're for both, he refuses to believe me.

well I may be wrong but every site that I have seen selling PP tension rods do say they are for both chassis. If you look at their design, its a little different than BV or SPL. I'm not sure how they compensate for the different lengths. They may just used a length in between but I bet they don't have as wide of an adjustment as BV or SPL.

And PEOPLE, I have these tension rods up for sale in the for sale section. Please pick up these beefy quality arms for cheap so I can go buy the right part.

Late to the party, but those are definitely S13 tension rods. Some companies just make one rod with enough adjustment for both chassis, obviously these aren't made that way. Sucks, you should flame the seller for lying to you.
