So, I went to the hospital on tuesday because my right thigh was swolen. Turns out I had a spider bite on the back of my leg that caused a lymphnode to get infected. That in turn caused a huge puss sack on my taint. (the area between your nut sack and your ass crack) Both had to be lanced and now I'm off work for like 3 weeks. Loritab 15's aren't doing anything for the pain, but atleast I don't have to do anything.

Anyone else here have some shit like this happen to them?:tweak:

Yea the spider did me dirty. I didn't even know that I had been bitten because my right thigh has no feeling. Hasn't for a long time.
The lymphnode was infected because of the poisen from the spider bite. The poisen was attacking the lymphnode system, and that caused the staph. I have 18 stitches right now. 6 on the back of my thigh, and 12 from nutsack to asscrack.

i had a nasty infection in my armpit once cause of a splinter that got jammed in my arm when i was carrying a piece of wood and tripped. that had to be lanced. also had another one along my belt line from im not even sure what caused it i ended up lancing that myself with a sewing needle and then drained it and used like a shitload of antibiotic ointment haha.

If you were infact diagnosed with staph infection then thats a skin infection aka MRSA... not necessarely the spider that attacked you is to blame 100%lol. This shit is contagious people, people who are at higher risk are people who work in prisons, healthcare facilitys, if you play sports, go to the gym, men that have sex with other men lol.... This is no joke guys, i know cause i work in a medical facility and we see patients everyday with these kind of infections.

I had planned on going to the doctor within the next few days, but it got better. Now I have a tiny little scar.

Damn dude. I looped an R6 earlier this year. about 85-90 on the freeway, dropped to third gear and bounced it up, then some old hag in a caddy cut me off. I paniced and rolled to much throttle on. the bike was trashed, but I wasn't to seriously injured. I'm in the process of rebuilding right now. I work at a bike shop here in Bessemer. Sucks that I had to take a couple of weeks off for this shit.

Staph is a common bacteria that lives on everyone's skin, but if it gets in via a wound, insect bite, etc., you can get an actual infection. MRSA is just a strain that's resistant to a class of antibiotics that works on other Staph strains. It can be an issue if you're treating a serious infection with a drug that has no effect on the bug and it just keeps progressing. You gotta bring out the big guns for MRSA and if there's a delay with a bad infection, you're in trouble.

When you get an abscess, basically a pocket of pus, it won't heal on its own or with antibiotics, so you need to get it drained. People without immunocompromise can get infections like this, just less commonly.

I have had 2 staph infections the last in the last 3 years,

Story 1
I was feeding my dog and well i got to close and the bastard bit the my toe(next to my big toe) so i cleaned it what not when to school and such, next morning my toe was about as big as my fist no shit and i pinched all this white shit outta it, well that night my uncle(foot and ankle doctor) cut all the infection out and put me on antibiotics and well im still alive and got all 10 of my toes ha ha ha...

I had a zit yeah a freakin zit on my nose get infected and it caused my face to get swollen and i had to be on IV antibiotics for a week i almost died from it lol.. pretty freakin insane :P yeah that was a 4k doctor bill...

oh yeah this year i had my appendix burst to lol... my body sucks ass!!!

fun fact, we all have various staph species living on our skin normally. The most common bacteria isolated from surgical wound infections are staph and strep species that everybody has. Just takes a skin injury and some bad luck to go from colonized to infected. Wash cuts out with LOTS of water!
