ok im about to boost my ka and i was looking at fuel pump options and i dont want a walboro bc alot of people have had problems with them burning up so i decided hey oem quality works best
anyways i remember reading somewhere of someone using an r33 fuel pump but i dont know where i could get one from nor do i remember if it worked
if anyone has any info on how the r33 pump would work on an s14 or if i could sqeeze a x32 pump in there and how much power could those pumps support without maxing out

gracias mi amigos

Any fuel pump will work, R32, R33, Z32, people even use Supra fuel pumps. Mounting any of them is just a matter of attaching the supply hose, strapping it to the cage somehow, and using the correct pickup.

The flow rate for the OE pumps can be found through a search, but any of the above will easily support up to 400hp.

Z32 TT - ~240 Lph
R33 - ~ 250 Lph

Just use a walbro, keep your tank at or above half all the time and you shouldnt have any burning out issues. The gasoline in the fuel tank acts as an insulator, keeping pump temperature down

i know but still one day ill forget to fill up and boom there goes my pump
from wat i jus read the z32tt pump can handle anywheres between 600-750 hp which is good for me bc i plan to stay in the 500whp range plus i get oem reliability and depending on who i get it from a good warranty

one of the reasons why people who have walbro fuel pumps the burn or over is cause they leave thier gas tank running on E or empty. the gasoline is suppose to keep the fuel pump cool.

and i had my walbro fuel pump for 9 years with no problems

I have a walbro and I run my tank empty every time, I usually don't get gas until my light comes on. I think all these horror stories are knock-off walbros.

i have to agree. i have never had a problem with any of my cars and i always run walboros. nor have i had any problems with any of the pumps ive installed in other pplz cars. the story must come due to knock off pumps

agreed...been running a walbro for about 2yrs now and i have boosted up to 14psi and i usually run the car till E.I have never had my car over the 1/2 poin on the gas gage and i have never had a problem with my pump...runs great and strong...i think they must be the knock off pumps too
