Utilizing the "Perfect Push-up" bars, I was doing 300 a night, 4 times a week, in sets of 20 over 30-45 mins.

100 (20x5) - Normal shoulder width
100 (20x5) - Wide
100 (20x5) - Narrow/Diamond

It was feeling pretty good, but I stopped the routine when my work schedule changed. :-/

Jesus.

To be honest, I got SO out of shape, I couldn't even do 20 at one point.

Now, I've dropped a few pounds and I'm back to doing 30+.

While I was doing P90x and "diamond push ups" came on, I almost fell on my face trying to do one.

Ill buy the perfect pushup off you...lol

Im at 50 pushups per minute.
I stopped at that, but the goal is to make it to 100 continuously.

I usually do 3 sets of 50, but after the 2nd full set I would barely make it to about 20 on the third.

If I did not read this I was going to say I did 212 pushups. BUt ofcorst that is a lie.

Back in high school when I weighed less( has alot to do with how you can do push ups) I had to complete 40 push ups to get my varsity polo letter and I did 74 at one time, that is the most I ever did. I remember after my arms felt like noodles.

But that usually only lasts a week tops.

I used to do sets of 50 a few times a day.

No you're not.... You couldn't do girly push-ups and make it to 25...

SC_S13
09-17-2009, 03:39 PM
Yeah I either do sets in the morning or at night. 4~5x20. Pushups are actually really good for you in terms of shoulders, back, triceps, and chest. Once i started seriously benching, my pushup limit went down to what it's at currently. I used to be able to do 5x40 easy. You can't build as much bulk but it's more well-rounded.

Seriously. :) hahaaaaaa I want to see this.

Back in my army days 125 no problem.

Now I am at only 75, but that is with a fucked up shoulder that got hyperextended grappling 3 weeks ago. It's really pissing me off because it's still killing like a mother fucker. Already had surgery on it once back in HS. Damn piece of shit shoulder.

lol seriously...I was thinking that

no clue how much I can do in one go since I started P90X and I'm doing various kinds in different types of reps. I will say that before I started P90X I can 30-35 straight arm push-ups.

I'd like to know how many dive bomber push-ups someone can do in one go.

Not sure what I'd max out at but

Just did my AF Physical Training test...
81 Push-ups in 60 seconds
78 Sit-ups in 60 seconds
10:51 1.5 mile run.

I bought a set of perfect push-ups a couple of months ago cuz I got my PT test a couple of weeks ago. Basically, I took it at work. When i get bored, I'd get up and do a couple of sets. Got these, a door frame pull up bar and a door situp bar at work.

The cool thing about perfect pushups are that once you get used to doing 50-70 on it, regular pushups are cake walk.
