HI all,
I'm new to this board.. always have the interest in a 240SX, but don't have the cash to build one up till now.. so i'm starting on some research on the car.
I'm looking at buying a S14b and swapping the SR motor in. And I have a number of questions that would be great of some of you experts here can answer for me <img src="#/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>
- I know the S15 motor and tranny will fit into the S14 with out problems, but the drive shaft is different and the wiring will be where the complications occur.. has anyone done this yet? I spoke to heavythrottle already, and they said they have not attempt at this yet.. it's do-able, but the big cost will be on spenting the time on figuring out the electrical.
-what should i look into when buying a S14? any known common problems?
-anyone here from West cost US or Canada that does swaps for SR motors good?
-should i just stick with a S14 SR motor then dreaming of putting the S15 in?
-should i rebuild the SR before putting it in (assuming I'm getting S14 SR20DET)
