I'd appreciate it if everyone could keep a lookout for my car. It was stolen wednesday night from in front of my house. You can see all the info and pictures if you follow the link:

the scary thing about this is besides his car being very clean . It had a relatively low key look to it. He was not sporting expensive rims or Kouki tails or other stuff. It seems like it was someone that knew you had a SR. Which means it could be someone you know. Which sucks.
Man this stuff is getting bad . In the last year the incidents of these cars getting stolen has started to go up big time. Its like the whole Honda thing. highest percentage of stolen cars ? Hondas! why , punk ass kids stealing them for parts and stripping them.
this sucks!

You're exactly right, not only was my car basically a sleeper, but not that many people knew about my motor. I KNOW i'm linked to the theif/theives somehow, and I'll be damned if I don't find out who!

dude that fu*king sucks man....what sucks even worst is it has to be someone you were associated with somehow....try and think of everyone you know that you told or either knew about your SR... they could have told other people about it too.. so that sucks. but ill keep a look out for it.. im here in the san jose milpitas area... and im sure no one drives a turbo 240 around here (besides me :D )but anyways.. yah if i see a shiny new blacktop around here, ill be sure to get my interrogation on...
ill tell my other buddies that drive 240s also....

edit: thieves suck by the way...they are people that cant afford anything in life so they resort in a low down way to achieve it...

wow that really sucks. i feel for you man. thieves are the lowest people ever...
that was sucks though, you cant report to insurance that you have an illegal engine, so if your car egts stolen your screwed. i dunno what i would od if i were you. but know i know that even before i put my sr in, im buying the best alarm i can afford and hiding it so no one knows. damn i dunno what to say. that really sucks...

Which brings up an interesting point. There are many effective theft preventative devices currently on the market. If you just dropped 3000 dollars of motor into your car, it might be worth it to invest 300 dollars in a fuel cutoff switch, one of those brake pedal locks, and an alarm.
Just a thought.
Also I know some people say its a gay waste of money but having your windows etched with your VIN dramatically increases the chance that someone may spot your parts at some point in time. As far as the SR, in cali you are ****ed cause it isn't legal. Here in WV I'd just write the VIN down of the engine just in case.

the cool thing is that the car isn't registered, since I've been just working on the car and was about to do smog this weekend. So if any questions are asked, I can say it's my track car and that it's not built for the streets.
But I appreciate all your guy's support. Look out for my baby, and just think that it could've been you, so get mad and find my car!! haha, but we're all 240 brothers, so help me out.

the car you say wasnt registered, but was it insured, the sr is a loss, but if it was insured at least you would get some loot to start a new project.
youre car has the same radio as my s14, damn, maybe i should start locking my doors

The auto lock..... it works
it would take a theif 10 to 15 minues usin a power tool to hack through that. maybe 5 to 10 through your clutch.
My friends car is a target, got stolen 3 times in one year. After the auto lock, the car was broken into, cd's and deck were taken but the car was still there.

sorry about your car dude.
but chances are - and they are high, that your car already being choped. Usially, after stealing the car gets to a chop shop within 12 hours, the less the better for them, worse for you. I just hope those are dumb thieves. :(

I was just trying to lighten the mood. The way I see it, is that it sucks big time, but there's nothing you can do about it. It's like the last test I took, that I knew I was going to fail. To make light of the situation, I wrote a little story for a question about electron arrangement that I didn't know the answer to. Did I get any points? Nope, but it did help me take my mind off the F for a few minutes. Your best bet is to watch ebay, but you never know if it will even make it that far.
