i just lowerd my car with whiteline springs and agx.. looks sweet .. but not with 15's on it.. i NEED some rims.. but everytime i find something that i could stand, and afford they are 17x7 and +40 or higher offset.. do they not make an affordable wheel that is 17x8 and a low offset.. of course i like advans and volks but there is no way i have 1600 for rims... its worth half as much as the car.. not cool... any ideas guys.. i went through every rim shop in the link section.

autoimaging.com has a deal on 17x8 5zigen typhoons (not sure if they have any left thought) in 4-bolt... +35 isn't much better than +40 but they're the only sub-$300-each i've seen in 4-bolt that aren't +40...

H&R makes some nice bolt on 20mm spacers that'll fix ya right up. Dousan runs a 30mm spacer with no problems on his (and if they can stand up to his hardcore PG SPL Drift style then I think they'll serve darn near anyone well) my old RH C2000 evos look pimp on my friends car with a 25mm spacer. (they were 42 offsets) I plan on betting some soon for my stock SE wheels

look for 5zigen, some Enkei's, ssr, Kosei, Racing Hart, Oz, .. etc..

They are there.. just have to look harder.

could always convert to 5 lug..... i've been looking for 17x 8's or 8.5's and it sucks for 4 lug selection.

yeah rock the spacers. i do..well not anymore by end of may hahha

going 5 lug. woot wooot!
got the SSR 5 luggers in a 15" ready to go. going to get some nicer wider wheels at a later date toooooo.

right now i'll be using SSR Reverse Mesh (virtually brand new, i swearto you they are PRISTINE curb rash and scratches are non-existant-adey you rock bro) 15x7 +15 and +27 and put a 5mm spacer for the +15 and a 20mm spacer (bolt on) for the +27

NICE. :) will be quiet flush and feel good. cant wait.

enough about me, what about you?

get a spacer or go 5 lug. simple as that. of course, spacer is MUCH cheaper (and easier)

original poster has an S14, so the 5 lug swap wouldn't be too hard for him.

What 4 lug wheels do they make in a good 8.5 to 9" width without costing an arm and a leg???

Compare that to just getting z32 TT wheels from a junkyard.....

honestly, get some from japan..
you can get stuff like SSRs and various other brands designed for cars like 86s in a 15x9 and such. but you would also run the risk of LOWER offsets=you need mad camber or flares. a lot more choices

or go custom made. might not get the coolest looking wheels but you'll get the offset and width you want. a lot of USDM companies do that custom wheel stuff for cheaper then one might think

ace, i'll pm you later with some stuff, in a few hours. :)

Did ya check out wheelchoice.com? I just bought a set of Racing Sparco wheels from them for 700 shipped. They were 16x8 with a +38 offset and rear was 16X7 with a +36 offset they were in great shape when I got them as well. As for the fairly high offset nothing a spacer cant fix.

I would suggest putting the 16x8s in the rear;) You will definately need spacers to get them flush if that's your gig. I have 16x7 +35 and 16x8 +38 and need spacers something awful. Still looks good w/ the lip but could be a lot more flush.

Racing Hart wheels are available in those widths in 4 lug. It might be custom though.

Depending on what the budget is....

Volk Racing TE37s?

Great choice of 18x8 to 18x10.5 etc...

SSR is good too, I had SSR competition and its fits well without spacers, cleared my TEINs with EDFC and my AP Racing 6 pot brakes. no prob..

Those are twice as much as dedicated racing wheels though!! >.<

I'd also wonder how much a custom job would be, too.
