I have a set of jic coilovers and I'm looking to get new springs I called jic they want 400.00 for the set of springs. My question is can I use other springs from a diffrent coilover or does it have to come from jic. I might beable to fine cheaper springs from a diffrent place just don't no if they would work.

Thanks guys

Wow dude if you have jic coilovers spend the money and get jic springs. Why would you even ask this question.

^^I agree... I have JIC coilovers as well. Why do you need to replace the springs? The coilovers were engineered and designed for the springs it comes with.

Oh, and the answer to your question is yes. But, I don't recommend it.

Well the springs in my car now are 8k & 10k I didn't put them in I bought the car that way. I know they come 7k & 5k but I don't have them i took them out to check them out and there's one rear coilover blown and they all can use a refeash job done. I wanted to change springs to 4k in front and 5k in rear. I put thebstock crap back in and I love how it drives but it's a damn monster truck. So if I change my springs I can put the coilovers back in and be alright at the track. 400.00 in springs seem alittle to much if I can get a set of 4 from a diffrent place for half the price then why not.

You just sell them and buy a softer coilover set up that will go low like you want.

I bet power by max can make you what you want.

Because those jic springs were designed for those jic coilovers if you use something cheaper it not only will be getto but it will prob preform different even could blow out the shocks. If you do get different springs atleast get some with the same spring rate.

If you want 4kg and 5kg then you should sell your JICs (don't expect much) and buy HKS Hipermax Ds (Drag). They have a 4kg and 5kg, at least that's what I recall. Look into it. I had them on my S13 and they felt good for street use and can go very low.

You can try Eibach ERS springs. You can get them in any length and spring rate IIRC.
