either one works, but the clutch fan is easier to install. if you gonna use a clutch fan, put the shroud on too.

A clutch fan is better than 90% of the electric fan setups I've seen. For simplicity get a clutch fan and shroud.

OP can you start over? Make thread format as so;

Location
Car use
Weight of car
Engine setup
-----------------

Radiator type
Coolant type
Thermostat
Ducting

-------------------

Question.

Keep the fan setup OEM. Its better than almost any fan setup, unless your overcooling with the clutch fan, ex.(nismo tsat, Griffin rad, proper ducting) I run only the OE A/C fan because my nismo thermostat opens at 149*f, and im hovering just above that durring crusing, but durring traffic I just flip the switch on my fan. I also plan to mix Diesel Watter wetter - Only the diesel stuff, because it only includes sufficant.

If you're drifting, i would use the clutch fan because you don;t always have steady airflow through the radiator.

If you're road racing, I would use electric fan. you have steady air flow for cooling and the fans will come on less frequently. no clutch fan= less parasitic power loss.

If you're daily driving, I would use e-fan. the fans will only come on if yu're sitting still in traffic or at a light, or if you're running the ac. you don't have to worry about the parasitic power loss from the alternator working harder, because when you're in traffic you don't need the power.

If you run the e-fan setup, just make sure you use a good quality fan controller or you will have to worry about reliability and weather or not the fans will even come on when you need them.

Overall the clutch fan is a much easier and cheaper way to get reliable cooling.
e-fan also has many benefits if you're willing to spend the money for quality parts.
