Ok, My turbo took a big CRAP today. I can get a rebuilt HX35 for free. Is it possible to do it bottom-mount? Yes its a PINA to work on a bottom mount, but I like to keep the CG low, not roast the Master Cylinder, and keep it a bit stealthy.
Ok, yes, I know you can bottom mount a T3 GT3071, but heard that the HX35 is a bit bigger and not sure it can clear the engine mount.

I doubt it will clear, what manifold are you gonna use? The HX35 should be T3.

Ahh my answer on FA wasn't enough for you haha, Anyway i didnt see you asking about running it bottom mount. Maybe if you make some crazy manifold but nothing on the market as of right now.

i haven't seen anyone who makes a t3 flange bottom mount manifold, and i don't think it would clear the shock tower anyways.

thats not a smart thing to say
you can make a T04R fit low mount
it all depends on manifold design
heck my friend has a bottom mount T88 on his SR20!!!

Yes but does your friend with a t88 have a mass produced manifold? Probably not. So goes the adage " you can make anything fit if you have enough time and $"
hell, I could fit 4 t88s on an sr if I had the $ and was bored enough. But I think the op was looking for a bolt on solution, not "hey let's build a manifold from scratch"

My 20G is bottom mounted on an Expreme and I had to remove almost 1/4" off of my motor mount to clear the compressor housing. There really isn't that much room down there.

Theres always some bottom mount manifolds for any turbo you want (I make manifolds) example

Dude, that looks wicked. How hard was it to fab one up, and were you able to A)keep your A/C and B) go external WG?
