Who knows about insurance repairs?

So a guy backed into my car, and his tow hook punched into my front bumper. The damage is in a 4"x6" rectangle - it's not a hole but more like a tear/flap that got pushed in so the bumper isn't flush.



QUESTION:

Going through insurance, do body shops usually replace the entire bumper? Can I demand a full replacement? Or do they just repair it?

just request a new bumper

You choose the place to repair it at. Get estimates from multiple places. Ask for oem bumper, oem paint, etc etc. Send estimates to the other guys insurance company. Try not to settle for less than the cost of getting your car fixed. Then when insurance pays you off, get a used bumper and call it a day.
