Not to sound like a newbie or anything , but my friend and I have been debating which s13 is better for drifting, any input is appreciated.

are you sure about that? I thought s13 was the chassis code or something like that
What NiteKids means is...
S13 is a Silvia/240sx Coupe.
RPS13 is a 180sx/240sx Hatcback
In all honesty they are the same, differ by 30-40lbs and the coupe is a little more rigid.

The coupe is a little stiffer and lighter (not by much) than the fastback. On the other hand the f/b has a better weight distrubution. Either way, they make great drift cars.

i think the fastback has a perfect or almost near perfect 50/50 wight distribution where the coupe has a heaiver front end ...it would seem to me that driver preferance would dictate what is a better drift car for each individual driver...

Not to be a dick but... S13 is the whole 240sx/180sx/Silvia family.
PS13 = Silvia w/ SR20DET
RPS13 = 180sx w/ SR20DET
RMS13 = 240sx hatch
KRMS13 = 240sx hatch w/ Hicas
KRPS13 = 180sx w/ SR20DET & Hicas
...
You get the drift? ;)
nomuken use to drift in a honda CRX (EF) in the canyons. first drift contest in california (LA) was won by a honda civic/crx back in '95.

not to be an ass but the chasis code S13 refers only to CA18 powered Silvias. RS13 is CA18 powered 180SXs.

i have that one, it was #46. it was an EF hatch. he had serious mods to the front and rear suspension, and lots of toe in in the back i believe. funny seeing keiichi clapping as he was riding along with the guy, then taking it drifting himself. crazy ****.

It was probably crazy toe-out. That makes a car rotate. Toe-in make it track straight.

two words: dave sholz
I've never heard toe referred to in positive/negative terms... I'd recommend just using toe in/out for the sake of clarity.
Toe is measured in Degrees and Minutes, but these silly americans who can't seem to grasp such complex ideas just use measurments... 1/8" toe in would be the difference in distance from wheel to wheel between its current setup and 0 degrees of (i.e. no-) toe.

skillz= e-brake. enough practice and anything is possible. with some practice i could probably drift my girls durango

my friend, with the firebird, drifted his durango already. hehe the back left wheel got off the ground too. is that still considered a drift? anyways those civics that drift, were any of them converted to rwd?

Hehe, uh-oh... we also got RHS13's. But beyond all this, I think the easiest way to generalize btween the two models is "R" meaning fastback, so S13 and RS13 (I know there is speculation that these denote CA18-equipped cars, but i'm not positive on that yet). If you want to be anal: _S13 and R_S13 since those are the slots for the engine code. OH YEAH.
To be more anal than Dousan and his boyfriend (:eek: ), our coupes should technically be: HS13 and MS13.
Here is a list, assuming the CA18 shtuff is true:
S13: coupe w/ CA18DE(T)
PS13: coupe with SR20DE(T)
HS13: coupe with KA24E
MS13: coupe with KA24DE
RS13: fastback with CA18DE(T)
RPS13: fastback with SR20DE(T)
KRPS13: fastback with SR20DE(T) and HICAS
RHS13: fastback with KA24E
RMS13: fastback with KA24DE
KRMS13: fastback with KA24DE and HICAS
(boro240, did I mismatch the M and the H again or am I straight?);) :p
