so ive been questioning starting this thread, but everyone is modding for power and what not, thought, hey why not just post my build of a simple clean Daily

to me, my definition of a good daily are simple, comfortable, reliable, simplicity

so, the subject
Specs
91 coupe SE
Auto
everything works
great condition in and out

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y162/whopper68/IMG_1481.jpg
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y162/whopper68/IMG_1482.jpg
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y162/whopper68/IMG_1483.jpg

the only thing wrong with paint is the top is getting obbliterated due to sun, and surface rust on the driver door right at the black line, and the rear bumper normal fade, pictures to come on this

heres after a fresh wash
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y162/whopper68/IMG_1585.jpg

no what is my list to make this thing my simple clean daily

Interior mods
DCC,properly working not just there :D
S14 Kouki front and rear seats
s14 carpet
JDM/CDM coupe headliner/or custom made one
JDM/CDM coupe belts and pillars
possibly s14 column/steering wheel

Exterior
chuki side skirts
PDM-racing or Bings front lip (undecided)
rear valances/ Bings replica rear valances
spoiler-less trunk
tint
maybe roof spoiler
full s14 5lug conversion
Q45 front rotors/calipers

suspension:
OEM bushings or Energy suspension replacing stock

suspension im iffy about...
either keep stock or KYB AGXs with Tein or RSR springs..well see...not important

motor
for having 197k miles, its still running like a champ...a tiny bit rattle, but smooth idle. in the mean while i will be refreshing a clean running 98 KA motor, to be nice and ready
im converting the distributer to an s14 internal coil system to clean up the clutter in the bay, itll work bette, look better, and yes ladies and gents, itll pass smog visual and testing since itll look stock

about 4 weeks ago i picked up this lil sad story
98 MT kouki
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y162/whopper68/IMG_1697.jpg

i was going to rebuild it for a measly 2k, front reinforcement, and new panels, it be clean and done,

but 2 problems arose, interior was already in pieces due to owner b4 me tryin to part it, and i had a friend comby and inspect it...simply put, frame damage..

fuck my life right

not so much

as u notice, its the main source of my parts
5lug
carpet
seats
motor
wheels
q45 brakes
engine harness for conversion
spare gearbox for my CA

everything else is being sold to recoupe my losses

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y162/whopper68/IMG_1700.jpg
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y162/whopper68/IMG_1696.jpg

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y162/whopper68/IMG_1698.jpg

Steve, this isn't a build thread.

At all.

why, because im not replacing my seats with buckets...or because im replacing my motor with a fresher motor of the same family

im getting electrical, body, suspension & interior work done, sounds like a build thread to me... :cj:

the A/C works well, but could be better...i know a local who can recharge my R12, but i might just say fuck it and replace the whole system with R134 system, i already have the hardline from the s14 and the pump form the s14 motor...

my s13 ac is wonky, when you turn it on 4 (max) it turns off the "ac" light but blows harder. it seems like the compressor kicks off for max air but works on the next lowest setting.

but yeah, on 3 it gets ice cold so waaah

lucky you. you have any idea if sohc and dohc AC components are the same? because im looking to try

i ment that most 240's are pulled apart, its actually pretty hard to find clean ones that actually have a/c.. s12's had a/c stock also fooooll..:fruit:
and just because my user name says s12 in it doesnt mean shit...lol. we work with s13's more then s12's that roll through
i have about 3 s13 a/c compressers... ones new.. id donate.. but too bad im on the east coast shipping blows

those kouki s14 seats are the hottest.

yes. besides the other ones that have like a blueish/blackish center pattern, there equally hot in my book and this is a complete set, i have the braket made to mount the upper half of the rears seats, just need to change up the locations for the upper locking loops...and make holes for the 2 brackets on the lower half, which ill just use the s14 carpet to pretty mark were i need to drill out...

wut. you have a 240 with a/c?!!?!

yeah....works great...but since im going with a fresher motor, im considering changing from r12 ac to r134, i hardly ever use A/C, but its a great convinient system to have when u have a mushroom cloud of smoke only 5-10miles away blowing ash all over...:naw:

ur taking into consideration, bracket, and pulley system, honestly i dont know, the only things i know are identical are the water pumps and clutch fans, otherwise, positioning of the pump, injector types, manifold, are different

I agree.

why, because im not replacing my seats with buckets...or because im replacing my motor with a fresher motor of the same family
No, more that there is no building that has taken place.

im getting electrical, body, suspension & interior work done, sounds like a build thread to me... :cj:
It will sound more like a build thread when those things are imaged and chronicled.

i seen this car in person and it looks clean, Dalaz knows whats up, let the man build his double d, besides not all of us wanna drive around all aftermarket and ziptied in our daily sliders cause we dont have a daily...some ppl want that clean stock look that still gets attention because it's so clean. Keep us posted i wanna see the final product. Also let me know what you got left from the kouki, i'm always looking for parts for my car.

Straight from the rules/guidelines.

Build threads:
Almost everyone enjoys building their cars (http://zilvia.net/f/#) and sharing that experience, as well as checking out others' builds for inspiration. Sadly, far too many users have a tendency to do half-hearted builds and either rarely update or update with trivial progress. In the interest of keeping the Chat forum clear of three hundred 'Install SR, ziptie aero, rattlecan paint' threads, incomplete, or in-progress build threads are not allowed. If you have completed your build, wrangle all those pictures (http://zilvia.net/f/#) into a post and tell us about it, but make sure the build is finalized. If you insist on having an in-progress build, Premium members have a specialized subforum for that specific purpose.

Nothing against Steve, but since it's not technically a build thread, it doesn't need its own thread.

Not in chat at least.

Steve, you're more than welcome to open one up in the Premie section.
