okay, dohc ka, with sohc clutch, sohc flywheel, sohc trans, dohc brand new tbo, and all

i put new pilot bearing in (was auto) etc.. used a clutch alignment tool etc.. use MT flywheel bolts

after it was all together, i notice i cant seem to engage the clutch by hand, with the motor out of the car... this is the first time ive ever tried to do that on all the swaps ive done, this swap is for a friend, so i want to double check everything before we drop it in

is that supposed to be stiff like that? or is it locked up? im basically asking, is it difficult to engage the clutch (push the fork.. towards the trans side)

or am i just worrying too much? im not sure..

thanks

Sounds right to me.

That's why there is so much hydraulic madness involved in clutches right?

The clutch is a hydrolic system for a reason. :)

By the way, SOHC and DOHC transmission stuff is all the same.

There's no way you can disengage the clutch by hand pushing the fork unless you turn all green and your pants turn into cut off jeans.

okay thank you guys alot, and sorry for wasting a thread on this but i searched for a bit, and didnt see much.... i realize there is a hydraulic system, i didnt realize it actually put out that much force though...

i learn stuff every day.. haha

has anyone ever used the AT flywheel bolts?? with a manual setup? they say AT on them.. standing for automatic... it took me a while to realize that.. the threads look shorter

Yes, they are too small. Only MT ones will work.
