wtf did you have to quote that whole thing? instead of "bold" you could have just deleted the rest.

just ordered a 255lph fuel pump and nismo tranny mount from john at 240sxmotoring!

east coast is pretty big? where you at? i have a bunch of random ca shit.

also, the driveshaft just slides out, no bolts, no c clips.

oh, also, hokey pucks suck as mounts for another reason.

factory mounts are actually offset.

with the pucks, you arent lined up right, because you just slide the bolt through.

the offset makes the motor sit higher so my hockey pucks make the motor sit lower
lower motor=lower center of gravity=better handling
that doesn't sound so bad to me!

on the topic of the driveshaft, should i use a gear puller or something to slide it out or can i just use human power?

also, why is it so damn hard to remove the front bumper?? on my honda it was just a few easy bolts and i was done, today i found myself using 8 sockets+adapters to get to a bolt that i still cant get off (front right nut next to headlight attaching bumper to front of fender)

went to home depot and got some awesome tools, rustolium, bondo and a nos energy drink (that shits like crack).
im gonna flat black the front and rear bumpers and the trunk for now to make up for crappy paint and im using the bondo to cheaply fill the spoiler holes in the trunk third break light and rear wiper hole. might paint the rest black or have the flat black painted properly to match the car after i try the flat black out

what grits should i use to sand the paint?? im gonna go look for a diy now!

i multiquoted you perfectly, then i had another thought.

offset, as in front/rear, not up down. take a stock mount, look at it from the side. the stud that goes into the subframe is not lined up with the one that goes into mount bracket.

the driveshaft doesnt need a puller. just slides out with your hand. if its stuck, it may have gotten jammed in the shipping container on the way here. have fun with that.

i see. im in brewster, north/opposite end of 684. if you need any parts or help, feel free to pm me, or aim: chugger2k

if ur gonna use lower center gravity as ur excuse for cheapin out, lol

why not just get actual mounts that sit lower...like say Drift Freaqs mounts
but hey what do i know, not something thats gonna rattle ur car, ive only wrenched on my motor for over a 2 1/2 years, and know 3 locals who have built these fuckers to push 400+. but w/e

why are u going to flat black, save and make it look clean, the paint isnt that bad...bah different strokes for diff folks...ive already lost intrest in this thread...

ill probably replace the hockey pucks when i have a bit more money. but for now other than the harsh rattle i dont see a downfall in performance from using the mounts if there is one please let me know!

well, time to work on the car, ill update tonight after im done

oh, and cut me some slack, i have only been working on cars since last november and this is my first turbo car and my first nissan.

sorry about the underlines

I...I... I dont know where to begin. This is my first post so you need to feel honored with that. I broke my zilvia cherry with you.

First like everyone else said, quit half assing this install and get motor mounts for the car. You can get some nismo's for about 225 IIRC.

Secondly paint the car to not look like shit, your making us CA owners look bad.

Thirdly you think your sister being 14 is a problem? Its not.

i pm'd eat about their pricing on the motor mounts and im gonna check out Drift Freaqs as well.

i havent really gotten much done over the past couple of days because of school but now im back. anyway, im installing my intercooler and can figure out how to remove the battery tray. im trying to pry it off but it wont come loose. i know i have to drill a hole in the car to get the cold pipe through but i also want to remove the battery tray. whats the best way to do this?

gotta use the search button... people on this forum will start to really flame you bad..

is that a 1991 with leather/ original 5speed? i wonder if its the one i almost bought in 2002.. where did the owners before you live? if it changed owners around fall 2002 in CT with about 100,000 miles then it very well may be.

keep the gray.. clean it up though. gl with your build, just make sure to put at least a few hours at it consistantly. you dont want to loose momentum with the build and have it drag on for months
