I was wondering how a 3G network works with sim cards...

for example...
If i bought a phone that is not 3G compatible (lets say a 2g Iphone), will my Sim Card that has 3G on it still work with the phone?

So to give a solid answer to the original question, whether or not you receive 3G service depends on the your phone, not on your sim card. All current sim cards from both T-Mobile and AT&T are compatible with their respective 3G networks.

Unless you have a grandfathered AT&T sim pre-merger pictured below.

The 3G text that is printed on the sim in your picture is just that. Text. AT&T is simply advertising the fact that they do indeed have 3G capabilities.

T-Mobile sims have no such text printed anywhere on their sims AFAIK.

Any sim from any carrier will work in any sim card compatible phone as long as they are from the same company, or as long as the phone is unlocked.

I wouldn't recommend buying an iphone knock off. I had the cect p168 and it was just a joke. Felt cheap, operated horribly, and the touch screen was more of a game of 'find the sweet spot'

i wouldn't recommend buying an actual iphone or a knockoff.

let me make this perfectly clear.
if you text a lot, and have EVER used a phone with a keyboard, you are going to miss it. typing on a sheet of glass sucks. period. you can pretend that it doesn't because you want to have the same cool kid phone as everybody else, but when you get down to it, you are going to miss having a functional phone.

For the camera watch, do I HAVE to use bluetooth? Or does it have a speaker/mic?

As well as do any of them have internet capabilities?

How many devs do you know that still develop on S60?

Fail.

Even the new Nokia N900 running Maemo (pictured underneath the sim card I posted above) is SLOW as SHIT.

Maemo has tons of potential but is nowhere near what any of the other dev communities are at right now.
