So I went to the junkyard and stumbled upon these headlights that say "Sylvania Halongen" on it. My stock ones say Wagner on them. I am wondering if there is any difference between them, or are these just another type that came stock.
I know sylvania makes bulbs and such, so I am wondering if these are worth buying and actually are brighter, or if they are just another headlight.

ill check my old ones tonight..
Sylvania is pretty much stock equip. They make good bulbs (even though they are sealed for the 240sx) You can get them at your local crap boys parts store.
They also make my future 32" TV thats $300 :)
Actually, I just replaced my front lamps will Sylvania SilverStar's. They light up bright and they're not blue.

wagner is the brand that autozone carries... with cars as old as the s13, they probably don't have the stock lamps in em.
Mine are wagner's cause I replaced the burnt out stock ones, but I just ordered H4 conversions.

yeah I read the new consumer reports, they are trying to get HID's banned.... they are too distracting to other drives.
bunch of things they are trying to do, among them make the vertical cutoff more gradual so when the car hits a bump it doesn't look like he is flashing you.

WEST !!! before you buy that tv consider other ones first. i work for that company and its not the best product out there on the market. i have yet to get a call about the 32 inch tvs but if there is an extended warranty that you can purchase, get it. we also make emerson, symphonic and funai. dont get phillips neither cuz after there 2 year warranty you are not able to get any parts from them (found out from a service center) so if i were you please consider this as a warning. you get what you pay for.

back in the 80s (or 70's??) when halogen bulbs were first introduced, people complained about them alot, eventually all of the bulbs went to halogen and people just adapted to them
same with HID's, eventually peoples eyes will adapt to them and they can get over it
i mean might as well ban sunlight while we're at it, im sure that causes alot of distraction too

As someone who has worked in the video department at Circuit City and Best Buy, I'll tell you that "not the best product out there on the market" is the understatement of the year. It's basically a piece of crap that stores carry just to have price leaders. If you're on a budget, get a Samsung. Very underrated. Sorry to jack the thread, but I just couldn't let you buy a Sylvania TV and be able to sleep at night.

Are they better than the PDM ones, sounds like a great deal.

So how was the junkyard diving? Get everything you needed?
Did you go to the place I recommended? If not PM me with where you did go.
I went to the one you recommened. I din't buy anything, just went to and took some pics to see what was there. I did however get a cap for my coolant :D
But sometime this week I will be going back to get the speaker grill I need. I am also contemplating on getting a replacement turn signal or buying the half white half amber signals. My driver side one is cracked, but works. Also need to get some screws for my center console, the ones in the back are missing, and need to get a new rear speaker cover, i cracked one of the clips trying to open it.
My experience there was wierd, i didn't know how safe it was climbing those cars, and all of the 240s had to be on top, but got up there so its all good.
And with the headlights, when i first checked, i only checked one, but now i checked both, and I have one of each, and they are the same brightness, but this is me trying to tell in the day.

Sylvania bulbs are crap. I bought some of thouse silver stars the other day, and they are 100% amber lights. Then I went back and bought some "cool Blue" Sylvania lights and they also were blue. I should have listened to my dad who sells lamps to Chrysler, he said they are a cheap company with low quality products. I will never buy from them again. And never buy that "Silver Star" crap.
