hey there everyone i recently purchased a 90 fairlady Z i purchased this car not runnin needing a block swap and new head gaskets i received a block and i did the swap put in new head gaskets and everything i threw the engine back in connected everything put in all liquids i went to start the car and it cranked but wouldnt start i did it again and the car started after the third time the car started but sounded weak like if only half of the cylinders/pistons were firing can anyone help im thinking it my ignition coils and spark plugs but iono if anyone can help it would be awesome i want to drive this beauty so bad

dang didnt know i had to be so dam punctual im gonna check them today and how do i go about doin a compression test

If you don't know how to do a compression test, how did you manage to swap out the block? I hope you torqued everything down to spec...
For a compression test, you can buy the thing or rent one. I don't know how much it is to buy, but it's a little gauge with a rubber hose with a fitting on it so you take out one spark plug and screw the gauge in then crank your engine for about 3-5 cranks and see what psi your reading on the gauge, that will be your compression for that cylinder. Repeat for each cylinder.
Renting one I believe you can do at an autozone or kragen, it's like $70 but then when you return it you get your money back.

Search. First you need a compression check tool you can find at a local auto parts store. It comes with instructions.
