i was wondering if nissan still manufactures parts for the 240sx...i mean the cars been out of production for 5 years... And also, what does any car company do if they have excess vehicles that they could sell... like if honda made too many accords and when the new 2003's came out they still had 2002's that werent sold... what do they do with them?

They still manufacture most the parts. Some are discountinued like the HICAS power steering lines. Of course its the one part I need.

As for Old year model cars they just sell them as new witha discounted price and bring in the current years. This of course after their clearance sell on previous year models.

As far as engine components are concerned, KA24DE has been used all the way up til 2001.

so your saying the only reason KA parts are still being manufactured is cause the frontier is in production? but what about other things... like lets say i crash and need a new front bumper...do they make those still?

only a IDIOT would buy a bumper for a 240sx from a dealer.

that is a dumb statement b/c when u buy aftermarket **** it will almost never line up straight. if u want it to look great then u almost have to get it from the dealer.

you dont have to necessarily buy it from the dealer. My friend w/ his hatch had to get a new front bumper and we went to a place called honda specialist....not a dealer...

a dumb statement by dousan? uh oh..watch out drifted.. dousan going to come back and school all our asses.. well.. of course nothing will line up as well as stock, especially if you are buying phony copycat stuff from erubuni, milineum kit, or that nismo style aero. no offense to the people who has that stuff.. but it will cost you a lot to make that fit.. most other quality aftermarket stuff should line up well enough or as good as stock. check out gpsports, vertex, bomex, etc.. or go to autoimaging site.. otherwise, you can try gtp by importfan and lmk how their stuff fits. .haha.. i need some imput on the cf products they have since im possibly interested in the cf doors and trunk lid they are contemplating on producing..
