It's been a year of ups and mostly downs for Chrysler, and you just can't expect every partner to hang on for the ride. As such, Nissan and Chrysler released a joint statement today announcing a mutual end to their agreement to jointly produce three vehicles (http://www.autoblog.com/2008/04/14/breaking-chrysler-and-nissan-announce-major-supply-agreements/). The vehicles were to include a new Titan full-size pickup truck for Nissan based on the Dodge Ram (http://www.autoblog.com/search/?q=ram+titan), a new small car for Chrysler based on the Nissan Tiida (Versa in the U.S.), and another compact sedan from Nissan for Chrysler to sell in South American markets. The joint release blames "significant changes in business conditions" as the reason for the breakup, though we suspect it has more to do with the condition of Chrysler than anything else.

Oh i remember hearing about this...made me wanna bang my head against a wall. a titan with a hemi? bleh no thank u. i like the 5.6 it comes with better. good riddance.

woohoo!! the titan has a beastly motor and the hemi is the wackest of all my uncle has one and my brother ripped him with his titan hahaha

if you heard about this then you werent listening to well. they were gonna use the dodge ram for the diesel motor and have a diesel version of the titan for the 1ton market.
