anyone have any opinion on if a wood dash kit looks good in an s13? i'm a pretty big old school kind of guy, and would almost want it to be more of a nod to early roadsters and import sports cars as opposed to making it look like a town car.

in my minds eye a wood dashed car, with a few little chrome accents, wood shift knob, and white gauges looks pretty sweet, but it's been wrong before ;)

I think wood looks silly in a japanese sports car. A year ago I got bored and painted most of the trim to match my steering wheel but after a year I got really sick of it and spent many hours returning it to black. IOTW: be careful what you change 'cause you may live to regret it.

yeah, i'm kinda half and half if that picture above looks good or not, and i'm not about to drop any money on a cosmetic mod i'm not sure looks >great<. i think it looks better than the aluminum kits i've seen, though...

So this Triumph isn't a "sports car"?

What about this Alfa Romeo?

And this MG?

Most people consider these "sports cars" in the purest sense...and they have wood dashboards.

In any case, I think wood in a 240 is ass. Don't do it. Please.

Yeah, that's the thing

A wood dash is great in a traditional style sports car interior.

The 240SX doesn't have a traditional style sports car interior. It has an '80s/early '90s techno-cockpit style interior.

Not a big fan of wood in cars, especially in 240's. It doesn't go with the whole sport vibe the car gives.

Some of the greatest sports cars in history had wood dashes. I like it. It is classy!

I have always liked wooden steering wheels but the Momo Race(what I have) wheel and other leather wheels are much more comfortable. (especially in hot weather):D
