Stephan Verdier contacted Stance Suspension last year to be more competitive. He wasn't happy with his Cusco setup and it wasn't allowing him to compete at such high level. Stance came up with custom GR+3 coilovers, Subframe collars, Diff Bushing, X1 Driving gloves for him. Since than, Verdier has qualified top 10 at almost every event and competed at high level.

Verdier beat big names on the way, Kazu Hayashida, Chris Forsberg, Vaughn Gittin, Ryuji Miki, Ken Gushi to win Rd 6.

Congrats to Stephan Verdier!

Different valving/spring rate than 'stock', of course.

It's very similar to the out of the box GR+3 but it was custom valved for the spring rates he needed. Verdier's car is much lighter than stock WRX. It also has a special bearing spring seat for faster steering response. Other than that it's pretty much same as the production versions.

BUT, the production versions CAN be re-valved to whatever custom spec is necessary right?

would these coils be better than the custom konis i see running around with those race shocks and ground control sleeve? just wondering. or are they on the same sort of level?

You bet! We can do custom valving for anyone, Stephan's set up was geared toward making the most possible traction in the rear while sliding. The way we have set up cars in the past, is by using the cars corner weights, overall weight, tire compounds, and driver input to get a car that is exactly what the particular driver wants.

Also, we were doing some product development with a Koni Challenge racecar. He stated verbally, and in his data, that the "out of the box" GR+ worked better than his Koni race set up. He was bummed that he is forced to use the Konis in the series.
