talk to Weldcraft wheels, they will widen them for you. or try getting in contact with Kodiak wheels they offer barrels for sale (not sure if they still do.)

kodiak has terrible customer service. plus i remember seeing something onetime on their site that says they do not do custom barrels anymore, just make whole wheels.

^ thats actually not so crazy... lol

- yeah kodiak sux. no reply, no call back

- Weldcraft only does the back space, not the lip.
there's a shortage of people making good shells.

Kodiak definitely does not make wheel parts anymore just whole wheels.

You can email Peter Hoffman of "Team Hoffman Racing" on ebay. Just type in BBS RS lip on ebay and you'll find his stuff.

It'll probably be too expensive for you though because a 3" lip is like 230 bucks for an RS and for your wheel you will have to remove your old lip and ship it to him (he's in Germany) and he'll make you a custom set of lips...IE more money. Also if you wheels are two pice they are more then likely welded together so you'll have to cut them apart (good luck) and reweld them (take them to someone who can TIG really well).

Your best bet would be to flip the faces, polish the barrel, and maybe shave the back of the wheel down some so you have a higher offset...if you make a post on VA Driven there will be some people who have more experience with actually building their own wheels.

it's really expensive... chip foose goes through a company out here in southern cali, but you can bet your sweet ass you wont have no lightweight forged wheels anymore. good ole steel will be the answer of the day.

i heard flipping a wheel can be bad, any proof of doing this? i totally would, downside i guess is having to take the wheel off to add air lol

but the way the barrel is shaped i figured it was for structal reasons, i mean.. i dunno i just dont want to hurt myself, this isnt going on a daily driven car, just drifting, so lots of pressure gets put on them

also w/ just reversing the barrels, you would't be getting any wider wheels, just lower offset...

I've heard of people flipping faces in barrels before.

As well as buying wider barrels and placing old faces in them.

Both worked out fine and didn't cause any problems as long as they are assembled properly.

someone had to do it...

As far as switching the middle thingy backwardsways to make your offset or what have you on your doohicky goes...

Older wheels were made solid. They didn't have laser scans and xrays and CAD machines and supercomputers figuring out the verticle, lateral, horizontal and 5th dimension stressed on a wheel. They had "this is thick as hell, it should stand up to the stress" lol. Im sure you'd be fine.

i see that.. but no confirmation

i mean, wheels are designed to reduce the load put on the hub/bearings... but spacers ruin that characeristic anyways... and the offset on my hoshinos suck anyway.. feels like +35/something.. because i ahve like 20/25 mill spacer and it still sint perfect..

man.. i want to try but i dont want to damage expensive wheels.. it would be sick haha

If they're a +35 then they're going to be a -35 when you flip the face...hence why I suggested getting the back of the face milled down a little (even if you could get 10mms off it would help).

I would just leave those wheels alone though unless you feel like risking the wheels themselves. From the looks of it you'd only have ~2 inches of barrel if you flipped it...that would be hell on your wheel bearings. If you want lower offset wheels just save up and buy some. I can look for some OG wheels in better offsets on Up Garage if you want.....this is WishIHadaSilvia btw.
