So i made up my mind a while ago about moding up the interior of my DD coupe, to match that of a silvia, in which we turn to the seatbelts...now i know all about the different ways to do this, I.E. taking off pillars using s14 belts, altimas, pulsars etc etc, well guess what...this thread isnt about the belts themselves
i recently bought some silvia (yes i said silvia since the 180sx b pillars are infact different) belts assemblies with there respective pillars...well knowing that due to the fact that 240's headliner DO NOT match up to the jdm pillars due to the JDM pillars being thinner due to lack of rail system of auto belts...
knowing that the headliner will need moddnig to install...i cant just take my car and have a shop mod the headliner, not due to lack of funds, trust me on that, its due to lack of time, it being my DD i cant have it down for day.
that being said i came up with a pretty duh idea, buy a secondary matching hedliner like my own (coupe w/ sunroof) and have that one modded, and when its ready i can install everything at once with 0 down time...
my one problem being, is, i need to know the measurments/shape of how much more surface needs to me added to the headliner to make it sit under the pillars...
for the life of me i know there a thread somewhere in which someone modded there headliner but everytime i search i get f/s threads...lol
not just that but i believe it was done on a hatch and i think the headliners are different for both coupe and HB...
if someone out there has a coupe with jdm pillars and stock headliner and can do me a favor of helping me out that be great...
if u want to talk shit like
just add the pillars and dont cry about the gap, i suggest u STFU and half ass ur own shit...
or
just leave the stock pillars and mod those
no thank you, i dont want a gaping useless ass crack just there...
once i get the needed info ill be more than happy to show progress pics here for those in need of it...

Panda garage will sell you the entire conversion for the interior which includes the headliner. I'll post some pics as soon as I get it installed.

Don't need the entire conversion. Just the headliner. Plus, it's not as if their price is shallow pocket friendly.

yeah...ive been on the phone with them for about 6-7 months abotu this...
each time its either they dont have the headliner, ever...last time i talked to one of the reps he told me " just leave the gap, i did on my 180sx and it doesnt bother me'' thats not exactly the answer i was hopping for, i was expecting more like ''yes no problem well try'', but w/e no grudge...
but like i said ive ask, they havent had them in forever...the fact that theyve had my contact info and request for the last couple of months and them not called me to say they have means they just havent had one...
last i herd the sunroof silvia was kinda rare out there anyway...

Who did you talk to? Nick was nothing but courteous and went out of his way to get me my interior pieces. Still waiting on the handle he promised me but I got everything else and it was clean as fuck too.

^ Brian, throw out a price bro. I don't mind paying a little for it.
I really wished you had better door panels though. I can't seem to find a good pair. The ones you gave me ended up cracking just like mine once the tweed was removed :(

i am in the same kinda situation. i did the complete candaian belt swap and i have the pillars and all and the gap bothers me. i have been thinking about modding it but really thats not something i am good at.. so i was thinking about just taking it to a local interior place and having them do that and my door panels and all.
an idea i have for you is to look into some candian forums and see if you cant get someone to sell you a headliner from one of there cars. that way at least you will have the dims that you need and all that jazz. let us know what you come up with.
but eh... you have a coupe i a hatch either way same concept.

no worries, i already told him the basic dimensions. I'll clarify everything when see each other.
Good looking out though.

Yes. There is no need to take off either windshield. Why would you think you would need to do that? PM me and send me $10 via paypal and I'll help you out lol.
Steve, come to the meet and you can see the gap for yourself. Chris is coming so like that we can all figure it out easily and quickly.

Not a huge help, but a guy locally did just what you're saying, he measured the distance of the gap, then cut and glued more material from another headliner to the existing one, making it wider on the edges. With the panels snapped in it pulls the edges up and flush. I can see if he wants to discuss how he did it, but it doesn't seem overly involved.

yeah, some guy on here posted pics of his modified usdm one, he just fiberglassed it a bit wider.
and what down time? you can drive your car around without a headliner.
