I cannot find the torque specs for a ka24de main bolts. (oem)
all I found in my searches was "look for fsm" "search". I mean fuck man. I have one of those chilton bullshits and it said crankshaft damper. me being kind of sketchy about it being the main bearing cap, torqued it to "105 ft lb" and sure enough snapped the fucking bolts. I've searched so please, pretty please, help me out. thanks
ohhh also the fsm doesn't say the torque specs, or at least I couldn't find them there either

It is 100% 34-41 Ft lbs.

hey just two throw my input in to back up om3ga.....i know the main bolts are to be tightened 34-39 ft. lbs. i know i'm new to this forum, but definitely not to these cars and engines. best of luck man!

Thank you darthGAMB1T Just to back up my info even further here you go. I wouldnt normally do this but here. I personally would do a couple steps probably tighten them in the proper sequence all snug, then torque to around 25 Ft lbs, then torque to a final 40-41 ft lbs (depending on which number you like better :P)
