I think no matter what it looks like it will be a sleeper (as long as it is still badged a 240 and people know its a 240. Nobody expects it to be like that, even if it had a huge RB sticker on it, I wouldnt expect it to be that fast. You just don't come around 800HP RBs in the states too much (shut your mouths cali people :p)

That's Archibald's car, he started our import scene down here in Ft. Lauderdale, This is one of his many engine swaps in this car.

thats mid 400s, nowhere near 800. couldnt have been THAT long ago. thats a huge jump. untill i see a 800hp run, i still call bull****.

Wow that motor sounded mean, if any of you have seen in person a 240 with over 400hp its nuts. For 17k i would buy an s13 and put in my own rb and build it to my own specs.

Still a super clean car, and this guy out of all of us (if he has 800HP) might actually benifit from a kit, for downforce and stuff, and better top speed, ect ect

I have never seen the car first hand but it is a bit of legend I suppose. I have heard that it owns everything on the streets down there. No one can touch him. I have a hard time beleiving 800hp as well but then again I am always a skeptic. I would say its prolly higher than 480 though based on what I have heard. Too much money for an s13 though, I wonder what his reserve is.

a lot of things can happen with engines with the right amount of money and the right knowledge.

Plus its the holy RB :), don't know much about the rb25s potential, but a single turbo rb26 can reach 1000s.

I am sure this guy prolly has like 760HP and says 800 for show, but either way its a beast of a car.

EDIT: he acutally said close to 800HP, in the world of statistics you round up so he could have like 740.

And dyno was 483 so he had 500 at that point. And he said he runs nitrous, I dont remember if he said that he wasn't running on nitrous when he got close to 800HP, he just says he has the fastest RB25 (something like that) w/o the nitrous. So say close to 800 is w/ nitrous, and his dyno was w/o. Add a 100 shot (say it gives about 80HP we're up to about 570. Coulda been a low boost run too.

Basically all this mumbling is saying that a number of things could lead to how he got the "close to 800 HP" comment. Although we will never know for sure how close he really is to 800HP without a dyno sheet.

It's not like any of us are buying it anyway, the work he did to get 483 HP out of the RB is more than enough for me to give him props.

But would like to see how it handles that power.
