looks kinda cool, and pretty cheap, but they have no details on how they're organizing it and how much seat time we actually get. I fired an email to the organizer and i'm not going to sign up until i get a reply and more info.

I would like to go but I am a loser. Hahhaha

I have to see if I can get the car up to snuff for it.

I got an reply from the hyper-fest organizers reguarding the July 12-13 California speedway event.

"Right now we are looking at two practice sessions of about 30 min each and
then a competition of about 1.5 hours, depending upon entries of course.
The course will be 7 turns on the infield road course and be right in front
of the 6000 person infield grandstands. It will occur on the Saturday of
the event for sure but stay tuned to the website because if we get a lot of
interest we may to some extra practice sessions on Sunday.

Falken will be there doing some demos with their ProDrivers and HCI,
SuperStreet, Grassroots Motorsports, On The Scene video and Super2ner TV
have all commited to coverage."

Not bad for a $45 entry fee :)

Damn I wonder if they are going to do anywhere as much coverage for the Eastern drift events.

Hellaova good point. I would like to see my car in a mag but I know I don't have the show to get in there. Dented up cars and mags don't mix.

HyperFest = RICE...but damn fun, lotsa honda kids w/ altezza's doing track time. But the drift is fun...not alot of track time since it is a competition, probably 3 - 4 practice runs, and 3 judged runs. It is fun though, Organization is last minute w/ it though...I encourage everyone to go...LookOUT drift will be up in there big time! soo LOOK OUT!

well yeah....

i think any car show is a rice festival
but at least these guys try to make it entertaining to all

i mean if you just want to look at the same cars year after year go to carlisle(i sure as hell wont)

unless i get some sponsors that require me too

or if im getting paid to be there ie. promoting
