Alright, to make a long story short, I have been searching around for an answer to this question. I think I have a conclusion, but I am looking for some feedback. Basically, I had a defi oil temp gauge that read in degrees Celsius. I bought a lot of defi gauges locally that came with the same gauge in degrees Fahrenheit. That is the one I wanted, so I sold the Celsius gauge and sensor.
I have not gotten my oil temp gauge to read about 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Some days it never moves away from 120 degrees, which is the very bottom of the gauge. The sensor is mounted right near my oil filter, since I am using a GReddy filter relocation.
When thinking about all of the possible causes for this, I wondered if there is a difference between the defi temp sensors- depending on which unit the gauge is meant to display in. From researching it, I think the sensors are all the same- but if not, there is a possibility that I kept the wrong sensor when I sold the other gauge. Does anyone know if the sensor types would be different? Or are they the same and I just have another problem? Thanks in advance for any input.
