So I was crusing down the 15 and I want to pass a semi, so I get in the next lane and put the pedal down. The normal feeling of boost kicks in then, it's like it stopped and kicked in again. Like on off on off on off.

Is this a boost leak symptom?

I am new to the SR and before this the car ran fine.

It's three in the morning now, but I have tomorrow off so I am going to check hoses and what not. Anything I should look for? When I bought the car the turbo manifold gasket blew out, it was in pieces. So I just used some copper silicone gasket stuff and it worked fine.

So that's the only issue I have had with this car driving for about 6 months now.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys.

I just did this two months ago. You think it would blow that fast?

If so that fucking sucks. I'll check for gasket leaks tomorrow.

Wait, why would you use SILICON gasket on an EXHAUST MANIFOLD?!?! You do realize that it gets HOT THAT IT WOULD MELT ANYTHING THATS NOT METAL TOUCHING IT. When I say hot, I mean potentially 900 degrees hot.

Yes silicon is a stupid stupid idea...

Okay, so I filled up on gas and that fixed the problem.

I bought the car and I don't think it has a Walboro.

So would a stock fp do this? Boost strong through 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, then on 4th and 5th fluxuate?

Also the SR20DET didn't come with a governer did it? At high RPM in 4th and 5th the car cuts out like seems like the car is put in nuetral and just coasting. No throttle response until the car slows down again.

Is this a fuel pump problem?
