hey guys,
i happen to see that my cigarette lighter wasnt working so i took off the center console and seen that theres no plug there from the factory that plugs into the back of the cigarette lighter. is there a way i can wirer up my cigarette lighter so i can use it. im sorry if this is a dumb question but im not very good at wiring up stuff. i did search but i didnt find anything. maybe im searching the wrong thing but is there a way to make it work. do i just wirer up a power and a grand and conntect inback of the cigarette lighter thats there?

Yeah, power and ground
12v to one side, take the other side to a bolt on the chassis or something and youll be good.

i use mine for charging my phone those are called accessory outlets not cigarette lighters anymore. as a matter of fact i see them without the lighter more than i see them with one in cars now

Where did the plug go? Maybe it just fell down between the seat and the transmission hump.
I'd look there first before doing your own wiring.

I know im bringing a dead thread back, but if i tried to set up a lighter and its connected to the correct cables yet its not working. What should i be looking at in order to fix this?

Hahaha, well that would be fine, but im using it to plug in my gps, sadly a lighter wont do.

try using another lighter.. mine didn't work before, until i swapped one out from the junkyard and it works perfectly fine now.

Use a multimeter and check the pins on the pins for 12V.
If not then check the fuse. Then check the wires.

yeah i thought it was the lighter but i guess i blew the fuse while playing plugging it in.
