I can't believe no one posted this yet.
Nissan debuted the new Infiniti M. Can we say "Sexual Chocolate" kids?
It comes in two flavors, the M37 and the 400hp V8 M56! :w00t:

I like it. The grille might be a tad too big for me, though. Other than that it has features from the G and FX (first gen) that I like.

too many curves for me. i like my women curvy but car's are a different story.
plus it looks more like the G and less like the current M which looks better IMO.

It's nice looking overall,
but its a bit too similar looking to the G37 in the front.
hope awd and a manual are options for the base model.
V8's nice for a luxo-ride.

car looks really good. the 1st gen M sucked balls, the 2nd gen is nice.. I am currently building a nice light kit for it. this 3rd gen really looks good, like a very nicely upgraded G-Sedan.
anyone who thinks this looks like a BMW (or cheap BMW) needs to remember that it IS a cheap fucking wanna be european car. lets not forget the days that japanese cars were scoffed at and considered economical garbage cars.

I can't see the resemblance to BMW (other than the center console in the interior).
To Lexus, maybe there's some resemblance to the ES's curves.
Personally I think if the design fits well into Inifiniti/Nissan's design approach.
If I had to complain (and a minor one at that), I'd say it's a bit too conservative.

I actually don't think it looks like a BMW at all. This thing is sooo much more curvy compared to the straight lines of the pre-Bangle era and the curves are too smooth to resemble the Bangled Beemers.

Not even close to looking like a BMW any year or model.
It's just not flowing for me, not sure why to be honest. It may look better in person though.

i cant understand how people would complain that it looks like a: g/fx/etc.... its a fucking infiniti.. what is it supposed to look like, an old s13? its like people comparing my products, theyre SUPPOSED to look similar, theyre made by the same fucking person/designer/etc
i'm surprised some of you fuckers dont complain to your parents and blame them for having the same genes and looking similar.

how am i not making sense? have you ever even sat and driven in a new e350? build quality and materials are poor. at a base E you're paying more for less compared to an M. but if you're talking about e63 amg it's a different story--though the price is much more different as well.

how am i not making sense? have you ever even sat and driven in a new e350? build quality and materials are poor. .
That is a direct consequence of their partnership with Chrysler. Their build quality went down the tubes over the last 10 years. And they knew it was hurting them a lot. That was one of the main reasons they wanted out of the partnership. Unfortunately those types of problems don't go away very easily as it becomes part of the MB culture.
My biggest gripe with Luxury Euro cars is they are way way behind in interior design. A lot of the shit looks like it's still from the early 90's. the new 3 Series is the best example. Look at this dated pile of shit. The dash doesn't even look like it was meant to be in the car. Like the dash, and door panels were designed by two different people on opposite sides of the country. No doubt the car is rad, but that interior is inexcusable to me.

and for the record, according to both MBusa.com and infiniti.com, the difference between current models of the M35 and E class. the E starts at 2,200 more than what the M starts at. i still think the E takes the cake in the looks department. i have not sat in, or driven a current E though, so i cannot comment. my mom has an 02 C320, and the meterials are there, but the fit and finish is seriously lacking. like mel mentioned, it is directly as a result of owning chrysler. they've said on numerous occasions that they're trying to get back to their bulletproof roots. its too soon to tell how the new E is going to hold up, as it was JUST put on the market. with all that being said, i'd still prefer an E or a 5 over the M. but i would probably pick the M over an A6. audi has never really done it for me. the styling has always been toyota bland to me.

My friend's wife has a CLS and had it since it was new. This thing, while I understand is entry level, is a serious embarrassment to Euro cars. Kia's from 15 years ago were put together better then this thing. But again, maybe in another 10 years they will be back to where they were 15 years ago.
Obviously styling is subjective.
I just think that 3 Series interior looks ancient.
The CTS interior looks light years better to me. But this is why there are so many cars out there. :)

the CTS' interior does indeed look futuristic, but being that they were so terrible for so long, i'd have to see one used and abused. im picturing all that stuff being really "cheap" and "plasticky." offtopic, i think its utterly hilarious how domestic automakers/workers cant figure out why there is such a large number of people that have it in their head, that the big 3 cars are cheap and poorly made. i mean, come on. have they not sat in a cavalier or late 90's cadillac? :keke:
back on topic, the reality is that people like what they like. most japanese cars are too "flowing" and rounded for my taste. hell, most new cars are. my taste tends to favor hard edges and and points (things of that nature) in car styling. there are always exceptions, but that is what draws me to older european cars.

that would be relevant is one of the chicks were undeniably hotter than the other as that c300 is undeniably better looking than that acura you posted.
maybe it's just a difference of taste but to me acuras are BUTT ugly to say they are "luxury" cars.

Yeah, I'd have to agree existing Acuras are pretty hideous.
Looks like even outdated compared to the cheaper Accord.
IMO, as much as I like the company Honda & luxury have never gone together quite well.
Cuurent MBZ C-class does look nice,
esp with the C63 (one of the more tasteful AMG treatments imo, even though I don't care for AMG aesthetics in general).

the new C looks A-MAZING! its one of the best designs on the market, easily.
this is what i was referring to when i said cockpit. this is obviously a modded interior, but note the controls in the center. they're angled towards the driver. my E30 is even like that.

even the E21 had all the center controls angled towards the driver.

they got rid of the hard edges (for the most part), and the "cockpit" like dash. a shame if you ask me.

honda/acura fell off so badly it's ridiculous
that 2005ish era TSX/TL/RL lineup was pretty solid
now Honda/acura has no good looking cars at all
only the Si is average

Yeah that does good, bar the over-kill in carbon fibre.
Very minimalist & spartan, if not 80's retro.

I sat in both the 3-series and Infiniti G. Both are tight, but man that 3-series interior was not to my liking.
Now the G interior...

Seriously Acura is on fuck up auto-pilot. Every new vehicle they have is getting worse and worse. Add this to the fact that the new guy said that they are canceling plans for a V8 RWD flagship to ACTUALLY compete with the M, 5 Series, GS, E Class, etc etc.
Until they get away from this horrible styling, and get their head out of their ass, they will continue to be a second rate Luxury auto brand.

although Acura is fubar, it is still very reliable and so somewhat attractive.
I think most MB are ugly these days. They are also crap cars. There is a reason that every MB older than '95 is automatically a test only smog.
BMW doesn't make the most reliable vehicles, but they offer great lease programs and 4 years of free maintenance. as long as you lease, the only thing you will have to pay for are tires.
Infinti, in my opinion offers a good balance of price, reliability, stlye, fun to drive.
