Well, im pretty sure I'm going to get flamed bad for this. I've been searching zilvia for the past 2 hours on how to wire up my Altima fans. I've seen numerous posts about connecting them to the fuel pump or tstats.

I want to know is how to hook one up to a switch? I have an S14, I've read that I can just connect the first fan with the OEM A/C harness. The second one I'd have to wire up. Now I'd like to have the second on the low setting all the time, but with the flip of the switch it, the fan would go on the high setting. The switch that I have has 3 prongs on it(an led also if it matters), and im a little confused about hooking it. I read that you want to have the switch as a ground, or something like that.

I have the 10gauge wires, 2 30amp relays, a 3 prong switch, and a 10gauge inline fuse holder. I'm not too good with wiring, but I have the general idea. On with the flames.

TIA,
ALI

Plug one fan in to the existing harness.

Take the other and cut the plug off, ground the two leads that go to ground (don't recall colors, but you can look at the OE plug, they'll be black on the chassis side).

Take the other two, determine which is low speed and high speed by powering them with a battery.

Use a 30A relay to trigger both. The low speed will need to be tripped by ignition, there's one wire in the underhood fusebox you can use, I *think* it's blue/orange, been a while. The other, high speed, will be triggered by your switch inside.

Low speed relay -

85 - ignition
86 - ground
87 - 12V from battery, fused
30 - output to fan

The high speed fan will be the same, but instead of the ground going to the chassis it will come from your switch, ground the other side of the switch.

This way the fans will only come on with the key. Low speed all the time, high speed only when you flip the witch.
