Its the same ka24e that didnt want to start, has now started but is running like doo doo!

when i tried to diagnose it...
The red and green light blink together in this sequence
2 beeps at a .5sec pace
3 beeps at about .2/.3 second intervals
4 beeps at the same interval
5 at teh same interval
then 1

and it resets to the same pattern. what does this mean?

Another thing, the injectors are firing at the same time. All 4 squirt, not the usual 2 at a time.

any clue?

please help!

- this is general for 89-98 Nissan but most apply to the SR20 motor.
- to set car into diag. mode, with the key in the "ON" position, turn potentometer screw on ECU fully clockwise, then turn it fully counterclockwise. The LED on the ECU will begin to flash.
- first digit = LONG blink; second digit = SHORT blink (ex: 1... 1... 1... 1... then 1-1-1 equals 43 = TPS)

im not sure how the SOHC Cel codes work but the slow and fast blinky lights should be the same concept

one of the lights is probably the 1 number and 2 number is the other light

theres 5 different modes. from your post, it seems like your still at the mode selector. you must choose mode 3 which is self diagnosis.

when the light flashes 3 times, turn the screw back and you'll be in mode 3.

one question, does the car have to be running to diagnose it?

no, as long as the ecu has power and the codes are stored; you should be fine.
