Im replacing that question mark shaped hose under the intake manifold on my S13 SR20, I found a hose that is the same at a local auto parts store, im trying to figure out which brand to use either Goodyear or Gates for an OE style hose. Im using samco silicone and Goodyear Hi miler silicone covered hose for everything else, but i cannot find anything other than a pre molded hose that will work for this and the OEM Nissan hose takes 4-8 weeks to get. So the question is which is better the Goodyear or the Gates hose?

Heres a pic just for fun :keke:

ummm...its a fucking hose under the intake manifold...you think its going to get super hot and melt or something. Just put a fucking hose that fits on there, its all going to work the same.

How about the point of this thread is to see which brand of hose people would go with and which would last longer and is better quality. I have both of the hoses here and i want to know who trusts which brand better and who had experience with either one.

Well it's on the cold side of the motor...it doesn't even matter if you use autozone shit, its gonna work the same. I'm sure you don't have the mods to make it matter. Good luck with this...:cj:

LOL hahaha i know i noticed that too its a bit smoother.

Basically im using aftermarket hoses for everything else, so i need to know which OE replacement hose is the best quality of the two. I have tried searching online but cant find burst rating and temperature ratings :(

This is like the kid the other day asking about what brand rotor blanks people recommend.

Buy the cheapest, it doesn't fucking matter...

Lol not at all this does matter. Who cares about rotors thats retarded, but when it comes to cooling system parts, i want the best quality hose.

They cost the same amount.
I OWN them both already.
They fit the same.

I just want to find out what other people think about the two brands and see who has had experience with either one. Dont come in here and bash the thead, there are other ways to get your post counter up like providing useful information.

Fuck, everything has to be handed to you. You won't find an answer cuz there isn't one. They are both autozone shit.

Just go with the smoother one then if you are having a hard damn time.

I would use either one.... aslong as its a heater hose or a hose where coolant goes through your good to go. I replaced my hoses not to long ago and just went to the local autozone and found myself a molded hose similar to what i was looking for, slap in on and i was straight. havent had any issues since.

They are both autozone shit.
Gates and Goodyear are both OEM suppliers. Both are made to the same standards; neither is better or worse.

I agree, dumb question...

...*smh*...

use the middle one...or cut them in half] and then you have both of best worlds lol. Whichever half-cut hose goes bad then you know which is bad.....

Very serious question. If ur car is painted white black or blue pick the one on the right. if it is anything else pick the one on the left. True shit

Was that directed towards me? You'd be surprised.

Well in case anyone else cares i found the answers.
Goodyear
Can handle temps -40 to +257 F
Working PSI 60
Gates
Can handle temps -40 to +275 F
Working PSI 95

If you need the part number of the hose

Goodyear 63124

Gates 18821

Gates is a little bit better

Typical Zilvia at it's finest. Most of you guys are wack. OF COURSE it's a fucking hose. You think he can't pick one on his own? He's asking about brand. Now if this was about fake wheels, you guys would sure have an opinion. Most you you should not be allowed to use the internet.
