Whats up guys, looked around quit abite but didnt find much. My car started leaking radiator fluid today and i found a very very small tiny pin hole in one of the coolant hoses under the intake manifold on my s14 sr20det. The hose is molded hose with some angles in it etc. Its the line that connects to the back of the Therostat housing. Am i better off making a custom hose or where can i find an OEM one for replacement. Is this doable from under the car or does the entire intake manifold need to come off. Anyone expierence this? Any help would be greatly apperciated. Need ASAP.

if you need that hose I should have it. I have all the lines under the manifold. I just need a quick picture of which hose you are talking about. PM me if interested.

when i rebuild my redtop sr, all the hoses under the intake mani looked good but i figured i would change them out, take the hose you need and either get some hose and make it work, or have the parts shop compair it to other hoses the same size with possible the same bends ect...

I did the same. The odds of you not having to take the manifold off to get to that hose is slim (if it is the hose I'm thinking about).

hmmm..
i dont know if this will help
bt i had a coolant line break on my KA! not sr
bt yeah its under the intake manifold and connects to the TB
i tried working on it with the manifold on bt it was too hard to push the hose and clamp it.
best to take it off if u cant reach it with ease.

I just done mine. I just swapped all of them while motor is on a stand right now. I tried many sources to find oem replacement but no luck. I went to napa and spent sometime finding the right angle and sizes hoses and ~$50 buying all the hoses. Then I cut them into the length i want.

hope this helps.

Honestly, if you have a line break under there, that means all of them are rotted and will break sooner or later. If Im in your shoes, I'd pop the intake manifold off, check all the lines and replace them all. Better to swap them all in one fell swoop than have them break on you again later down the road. Take all the lines off after you take the intake manifold off (no way around it, taking it off will give you access to all the lines). Take the lines you have/need to autozone and check what they have for heater lines in the back. Just match the shape of what you need and maybe cut them to fit.

I have that hose if you need it. If it were me, i'd just buy a new one though or make something custom, as long as it doesnt kink you should be fine.

thanks guys for all the replys, i found the tiny pin hole, hose seems brand new, no idea how it got a pin hole, but ended up going to autozone finding a similar hose cut it down to size and now time for re install shortly

Like I said, if you're already changing one, check them all under. Nothing would piss you off more than having another leak later down the road. I found that out the hard way after upgrading to a 1.2 bar rad cap.
