A 250 shot is pretty crazy.

250 shot. You can't be serious. If you are then you need to upgrade the internals upgrade the ignition to include adjusting the timing to, uprade the fuel delivery like, huge injector's, fuel pump, fuel rail and fuel pressure regulator. In other word's don't do it, you would be better off with a turbo system for all the money you would put into a 250 shot of nitrous. If you want a nitrous kit (maybe you should try a 50 shot first?) goto NOS's webpage. If you think you can just put a 250 shot of nitrous and nothing else and everything will be fine I suggest you leave your car stock.

Yeah, i agree with ca18guy. &nbsp;You can't just go throwing that much nitrous into your engine without serious upgrades (pistons, rods, the works) and not expect your car to die.
Isn't anything over 50 shot kinda overkill anyway, unless you are doing some serious f*ckn racing?

I'm sure your friend with the juiced turbo Civic has put a lot of work into his car. &nbsp;Guess what....if you want to equal or surpass him, you're gonna have to put alot of work into your car, too. &nbsp;You can't just throw a 250 shot of nitrous on there and think you're gonna have an overnight street monster. &nbsp;hmmmm...I wonder how high a piston will fly after being launched through the hood by a 250 shot...lol.
btw...what exactly has your friend done to his Civic...motor swap, internal work, amount of boost, amount of nitrous.....?

amir, no one is trying to be mean to you... a 250 shot of NOS is pretty big... &nbsp;first off, you need to bore out your engine about .4 ltrs, get titanium pistons, rings, valve springs... everything... &nbsp;you need a bigger fuel pump, a greddy header, 3in pipe from your header to a performance huge muffler.... like a dunk... &nbsp;ngk plugs, wires, cold air intake... and if you never drove a low 12 second car... &nbsp;a roll cage... side air bags, racing seats, five point harnesses...

a friend of mine has a 4 door honda accord with a 2.2 SOHC engine running low 13s all day with a 150 shot... &nbsp;and his engine handles it like nothing... so i wouldn't be supprised if you could run a 250 shot on a 2.4 ltr DOHC... &nbsp;but i don't think you could shoot that all day... &nbsp;least i wouldn't i would personally do it to race but i would only race for atleast a 1000...

As for being mean, sorry I can't impose my word's to sound sarcastic over the internet. Nobody was really mean, you just asked a way out there question. You may also notice that we did answer your question as to what you need to do to handle that much nitrous. As for nowing nothing of nissan, you really don't need to know anything of nissan to answer your question, a stock nissan engine would blow just like a stock honda engine or even a stock big block would blow up with a 250 shot of nitrous.

Amir, every member who posted here had some very good tips on what is needed to try to run a 250 shot. They were responding the way they did because there is a HUGE chance that the 240 enging cannot take that much. YOU are the one being rude to us. YOU are the new member who is asking our advice. Why are YOU the one saying that WE don't know anything about Nissan when you're the one asking the question?

You're not off to a good start in this forum. We are all rather close--we all happily help each other out because we know that our help is always appreciated by the people who need it. It's difficult to try to help you out when our answers to your questions aren't welcome. What DrifterX said was true and good advice, but it was also really funny. That's why I cracked up and started laughing. The guy who put way too much NOS into his car appears in the beginning of the movie, I think you probably got that far if &quot;you didn't finish watching the movie&quot;. You can smoke a honda pefectly well with a good turbo and some engine work. At least it's not something that is potentially dangerous to your engine life. Gosh, I wonder why NOS is not street-legal. Someone told me it was illegal up here in Chicago-I never looked into it personally, but I've never seen anyone run NOS on the street. I have seen people haul their cars to the track, but never drive them with NOS.

This lovely 4 door 1999 Civic LX has over $8000 in mods (yipppy) with a custom exhaust and thats it. The rest is all cosmetics to &quot;look&quot; fast! For how much he is selling it for (he's selling it for collede(his spelling) money) he won't even have his loan paid off, this car won't go any faster then 17's in the quarter mile and probably slower than stock with the amount of ground effects on it. It's people like this that give Honda's a bad name and make themselves just look silly. Oh yeah this car is for sale on ebay if you want to take a look. Seriously Amir, I gotta agree with most that have posted here, save your money and do it the right way. I know its tempting, I originally wanted to go NOS too for the price it does *seem* to be the better choice, but it isnt. Save your money, take your time, shop around, and decide what exactly you want to do with the car.
IMO &quot;beating the honda next door&quot; seems to me a bit short sighted to spend hard earned money on.

Ok, all this honda bashing is getting to me. I have two cars, a 240sx....and a civic. I just wanted to say that although my civic is not a race car, it can still beat a stock 240. 16.1 in the 1/4. Thats without spoilers bodykit, and stickers mind you. I guess my point is, its not the car, its the driver...so dont judge...or something like that.

I got the point. But I guess we're bashing on rice-boys and not good hondas. I've seen some pretty dope civics that run 13s, and I didn't once say those particular cars are pieces of crap.

someone really needs an attitude adjustment, i mean of course we all get into arguments about car talk cuz some ppl are #### bent on making others look stupid, its not right why can't we all have knowledge and share it all the same?

There's only one person on this whole forum who I think needs a major attitude and brain adjustment, but that's right about it. Everyone else is pretty nice.

On the Honda front, most of you have heard me complain that my convertible is noticably slower than my coupe was. &nbsp;I mentioned this to my sister, who owns a '00 Civic. &nbsp;She took it for a spin and claimed to not notice any difference. &nbsp;Now, she's driven my coupe; she totally should've noticed. &nbsp;I asked to drive her car. &nbsp;No wonder she didn't notice. &nbsp;Her car felt exactly the same.

Now, hers is stock and so is mine, but hers is seven years newer and mine was beheaded. &nbsp;There's no reason they should've felt the same. &nbsp;This said, yeah, it would appear that stock Hondas are just not as nice as stock Nissans.

Now, upgraded cars are a completely different story, of course - but anyone who says that most Honda people do body kits and other assorted crap (like 'Type-R' stickers) and not performance stuff, well, they're someone I'm going to agree with.

Seriously though s13grl, who needs an attitude adjustment? &nbsp;Everyone here is so friendly, curteous, uses complete sentences ... oh wait, now I get it. =)
