So i recently found out my car has the keyless entry/alarm (I forgot my key in the ignition and locked the doors and when i got it opened the headlights and horn were going of). I bought 2 factory FOBs and been trying to program the b*tch. I checked all the connection and all the security modules on the car and they all work fine. The problem i been running into is

****the step when you push lock on the remote no flash or any indication goes on like its suppose to.

Yes i read all the thread and articles from here to S-chassis, etc. Recently i just stumbled into a pick of the dash and there a "security switch." aftwer seeing this i took the vent apart and saw a 2 pin connector thats not plugged into anything. My question is DO YOU NEED THIS SWITCH OR IF THAT BUTTON JUST TO HOLD THE F_IN LED LIGHT......SOMEONE PLEASE HELP THIS SH*T DRIVING ME CRAZY ......OR IS THERE SOMETHING ELSE THAT MITE BE WRONG?

Can you post a picture of the keyless remote or do you have the FCC ID? Just want to see if you have the right one. If your remote doesn't have the right fcc id as your keyless entry box, it won't sync up.

And you said you bought 2 factory remotes? Did you buy them new from the dealer or what. Surely they didn't give you the wrong one.

I am pretty sure the s14 fcc id for the stock box is KBRASZU02

i think i had the same problem except i assumed the indicator went off and continued with the steps and it worked. as long as you follow the directions it should work.

1.Get in & lock the doors
2.Insert the key into the ignition 6 times within 15 seconds
3.Hazard lights should flash
4.Put key back into the ignition & turn to Accessory
5.Press the master door lock (on drivers door arm rest) unlock/lock
6.Hit the lock button on the remote
7.Hazards should flash
8.Pull key out and open the drivers door and then close it
9.It should be set
These instructions worked perfectly for me. If you have more than one remote, I believe that you repeat step 6 for each remote before performing step 8. However, I have not tried registering more than one remote.

I know I'm digging up a long dead post here but I'm having exactly the same problem...:mepoke:

Did you ever resolve this problem of the remote being detected? :hide:

This is where it all goes wrong for me:

6.Hit the lock button on the remote
7.Hazards should flash
