Set up is...

Sr20det redtop
stock trans w/clutchmaster 6 puck stage 3 (new)
12light flywheel (resurfaced)
New TOB
New master cylinder and New slave cylinder
75w-90 synthetic trans fluid

Sorry the another question like this but i searched and searched but couldn't find something with my problems.

When i turn on the car in the morning and engage the clutch after a few seconds a whirling/grinding noise will start. It stops when i disengage the clutch. Gears go in smoothly even when the grinding is occuring. It will keep doing this until the car is warm. Once it's warm it will NOT happen again. Also 4th will grind EVERY now and then and 5th will grind 50% of the time ever so slightly during daily driving. I have adjusted the clutch pedal inwards and outwards. BLED AND BLED AND BLED!!! Changed master and slaves several times. Pedal has great feel and has been felt by other sr owners in my town and they all say it feels great. NO SLIPPING. Pulls great. Any ideas????

Please no flaming i am not in the mood. Already apoligized in advance.
Many thank you's to anyone that attempts to help.

Gonna switch to amsoil and see if that will do. Am I on the right track?

i had that on my 95 maxima. when its cold, it grinded in 1st, 2nd, and went into 3rd roughly. not sure what it was, but i put in syncromesh oil, and it solved it.

Yes you are right.... Amsoil remember its the one for tranmissions and transaxle, there is a thread inthe chat section about all the oils.

synchromesh is probably the best investment evar as far as oil for your trans, royal purple sucks.

throw out bearing is your most likely problem also sounds like you could use syncros in 4th and 5th

Amsoil, I don't even need to warm up the tranny to drive on it... Redline and everything else sucks on cold....

Redline MT-90 GL4 isn't the best in the cold...but it warms up quick enough. I heard worse things about shockproof though.

I have a friend using RP in his KA-T, and he has no problems...but all I hear is bad things from this forum.

I switched from Lucas to Amsoil and notice a big difference, I now can drive it cold and shifts smoother.

No need to hear about things, there is a tranny oil review thread written by me in the chat section.

It was that thread that made me go amsoil. Should be in tommorow.

Make sure it's GL4 and not GL5 or your synchros may go. Bought some qts from local amsoil store and they gave me GL5 even though I asked for GL4. You gotta make sure yourself because some of 'em don't know what they're selling.
